2025-05-22 09:36:28 +0000 UTCBaek Jin is an absolute monster both in the series and in the webtoon that its not even realistic. He got no boss in the webtoon, Baek Jin beats Cheongang and the boss, basically the union takes over the entire gang (Its not close to being realistic at all, how come a highschooler take over a whole real criminalistic gang TT) so I think in order to make it a bit realistic, here they still make Baek Jin works for somebody. Also, after he got crippled in the webtoon, he's still being surrounded by the other people who has a bad blood with Baek Jin and think that this is the opportunity to take him down, only to be beaten again by a crippled, tired Baek Jin, so yeah.. he is THE monster, so in the end who can take him out is only himself, he killed himself in the webtoon (because he has nobody, and nothing to be accomplished anymore), but in the series it is heavily implied that he was killed by Cheongang, but no matter what it is, I don't think he deserve any of this ending. I agree that this show is rushed on a few story and development, for example, Baek Jin has a lot of complexity on how he ended being like this, and also the other EunJang squad back story. For the class 1, really there is not much material in the webtoon so I guessed they have more freedom on developing a story with a better pacing without have to fulfil any of the reader expectation, and it ended up being so well made. But for the Class 2, they have the material of the whole webtoon and a lot of expectation from the reader and the fan of the season 1 series, so they ended up rushing everything trying to fit the whole webtoon storyline into 8 episode with 40min runtime (it's impossible), but understanding this, they still tried their best and I think that they do a good job overall and I think it's enough. I enjoy both the webtoon and the series (Class 1, Class 2). Sorry for the yap..

Lee Min-jae (Gotak) has been learning Taekwondo for over 10 years, and Ryeo-woon (Baku) has also learned martial arts. Most of the actors actually learned martial arts and were athletes. That's why the fight scene of season 2 is more realistic and fun.
