The other reason for time off...
Added 2023-09-13 17:55:25 +0000 UTCThe other reason I have been wanting to take some time off is that my main Hard Drive (HDD) has been getting full. Too many boobies I guess. :P
I purchased a couple of new drives a while ago, but never got around to installing them: one SSD to move all my games to, and another 4 TB HDD to hold all of the archived comics. My current HDD will function as the "working" folder for this month's comics, or any comics that haven't been archived yet.
Today I decided to install them both, which was a freaking nightmare. I really liked the Motherboard that I picked out when I built this system. It has plenty of expansion and some really nice cable management options. However, it is a bit cramped and adding two new drives was a royal pain in the butt!
I couldn't reach the SATA ports to plug them in. I ended up having to tear one of my Graphics Cards out and unplug the power from the other in order to get my hand in there and get them plugged in.
The good news is that the system came back up without issue (so far), and now I have almost twice the storage capacity! Yay! :D
Now I just need to migrate everything...

No, it's not a system drive. The Recycle Bin is getting a little full for it, but it's a drop in the bucket.

2023-09-14 13:51:41 +0000 UTCAs tech support I feel the need to ask. Have you cleaned your Caches? I know for Adobe products those things can get crazy. There are somethings that will get earmarked for a clean up by Disk Cleanup, but never gets deleted. Got 1 tb back just from that.
