december posting schedule + tier change reminder ❆ postal updates

hello!!! here is our december posting schedule~

• podcast -- 12/3 & 12/17 (we're doing tuesdays this month!)

• weekly photo diaries every wednesday

• secret sketchbook tour -- 12/27

• test co-working stream -- 12/12

  • I'm going to test out the co-working stream next week! I've never streamed to YouTube so I want to see how it differs from Twitch, and see how y'all like the set up. This stream will be available to all $10+ patrons

I'm also doing Vlogmas this month! I'm doing it in a weekly style, so the videos will be going up on Saturdays, and y'all will get early access on Fridays. :o) We'll see how it goes :D I'm using my 8-megapixel Canon Powershot for this first week, and I'm kinda excited to see just how crunchy the footage is heh

❆ TIER CHANGES HAPPENING AT THE END OF THIS MONTH ❆

As a reminder, I'm going to be getting rid of my postcard poppies and tangerines tier at the end of this month, on the morning of the 31st. I'm planning on collecting all the names for December rewards on the 30th -- but even if you downgrade before, I should still be able to see that you paid for the rewards pledge for December.

The sticker sweeties tier will be getting a name change, and will now be an exclusive livestream tier! And will also get your name at the end of my videos written in a big beautiful font, before everyone else's names scroll through. I'm going to try out the whole "patron names at the end of videos" this month for my Vlogmas videos, so we'll see how this all looks. For now, all $10+ tiers will have their names highlighted in a larger font.

❆ POSTAL UPDATES ❆

FOR MY CANADIAN PATRONS -- I'll be holding onto your December rewards and keeping them safe until the postal strike is over.

FOR MY EU/NORTHERN IRELAND PATRONS -- I'm sure y'all have seen lots of people posting about the new safety regulations the EU is rolling out on the 13th of this month. As far as I can understand it, since my Patreon mail isn't tracked, it shouldn't affect your December rewards. However, I will have to close sales to the EU and Northern Ireland from my online shop at the end of this year. Unfortunately, there are quite a few logistical complications that these new regulations impose on a small business like mine, and until there's more clarity around exactly what they're wanting, I won't be able to make any product sales to the EU and Northern Ireland, even including digital products. It SUUUUUCKKKSS so I'm really hoping they release some clearer guidelines soon. This is what White Squirrel, the fulfillment company I work with for my online store, wrote to their clients:

The EU parliament should be providing guidance about how these specific policies relate to small businesses like ours, defining what we need to change, and how to do it. I don't know if that information will be provided before the 12/13/24 date, but I'll share info once it's public.

As far as I can tell, here are the changes that may have to be made for all new products created and sent to EU customers after December 13:

• Every single product that you sell will need to be labeled with specific safety information (including digital items)

• This information / certification will have to be shared on your store somewhere

• Technical documentation and safety test results will need to be available by request

• You will need to have a Authorized Representative who resides within the EU, who can provide safety information when requested, has access to all technical information from your manufacturers or printers, and can act on your behalf.

It's extremely annoying, but I really hope parliament tells us what they're wanting sooner rather than later :(( White Squirrel will still be sending stuff out to the EU/NI through the end of this month, so if you want something off my website, make sure to buy it before the 13th!!
