May and June (Hi-Res)

WOAH. Oh my gosh, I forgot to upload last month!! I am so sorry!!! Things have been chaotic as heck here, so I think it slipped my mind. I'm also very behind on posting finished work in general, so hey, some of this is also very new and exclusive here (for now). :)

I think that's everything!! It's been a slower month or two on the painting side of things. Sorry it's a lot of sketches. I hope this pile of work makes up for the silence of last month -- once again, apologies, I can't believe I forgot!!

I am on vacation for a couple days starting Friday, but then back to the grind come fourth of July. If you are heading to Anthrocon, please stay safe, and have fun for me and Goolashe! Things have been so so chaotic. Goolashe is still hunting for a job. Though as of typing, he's actually sitting behind me looking over a job offer, so maybe things will be looking up soon? I'm also on some new medication and while my anxiety is down in general, my attention span is absolutely shot, so that's part of why I don't have quite as much to share as I would have liked.

Bills have been incredibly tight. I am trying to work my butt off to stay above water. And we are, for the record! We can't go to Anthrocon of course, like we aren't swimming in cash, but we're at least staying even. There's a deadline of end of July for something to change for income, though, or else we have to re-arrange the house and look towards renting... And I really want to avoid that, because I worry my work will be impacted if we do that. But... Uh... Yeah! Things are... Steady. Not great, but steady.

I've been aching to do some personal work. You can kind of see it in the Gummigoo. And in having the new kobold character as my main species. But I just haven't had any time. :( It's definitely a "if I have time to work, it has to be on commissions" mode. I really hope this job offer will be good for Goolashe, so maybe I can have some wiggle room of a day or two per month to experiment or study or just... Do personal work.

It hurts a lot to not be at AC, I admit. It's been since early 2020 I keep telling myself, "This will be my year to returning to selling and being professional", and every year it feels like something keeps that goal further and further away. Minus the start of the pandemic, I feel like each year has made it slip further away, and I am ashamed of that. It's really compounding that depressive thinking of not being part of the fandom, not being a professional, not being good at my job. I'm trying to ignore it, and most days I can, but... Whoof. Man. I was really hoping to be able to go...!

I won't trouble or bother ya'll here with that sad boi talk though. I just want to reiterate that I truly, seriously do appreciate the love and support, even if I've been a little quiet lately. I'm doing my best. I love you all. You better have fun if you're going to be in Pittsburgh! That's an order!!
