Gosh, I need a better title for this one. But ahhh, I'm extremely happy! I think this is one of my better character renderings. I still need to work on foliage, as my result isn't what I'd like for the time invested into it, even though the prompt wanted them vaguer, but that'll come in time. So many leaves...

Truthfully, leaves scare me...! I know that might sound a bit bogus given how often they tend to come up in my work, but they are one of those abstract concepts that I don't really... Feel like I'm getting better at painting? I'm quicker, sure, but not yet better. Feels like to do leaves properly for me would take hours upon hours.

But despite being annoyed with myself about leaves/blossoms meant to be vague anyways, ahhhhh, I finally got to paint a draolf! A winged dragon-wolf hybrid. I'm a huge fan of Kaji's character. Admittedly he's also a genuinely nice dude, but when he approached me asking to paint for him, I was extremely excited. Wings, fur, monochrome/grayscale character, and in a theme like this? Hell yeah. I love all the muscle work I'm asked to do, don't get me wrong, but boy howdy, if this didn't put a bit of fuel on the fire for doing more character interaction and emotional pieces, I don't know what will.

I hope I get to do something like this again soon. Time to study some more anatomy and posing so I don't mess up Sitku's oblique again -- can't believe I originally drew him with like 75% legs. Arctic Fox, not leggy boy maned wolf!! Phew.
