The Amazon algorithm is a fickle mistress. It's a bad system for a lot of reasons, but I think this little snippet describes it best. If even a few people dive-bomb a book maliciously, they can pretty much destroy any hope of a book getting visibility. That's one of the reasons it is so important to get reviews, as annoying as it is for me to beg.
This type of thing makes me extra thankful for all your support here on Patreon!

I've seen those dive-bombs on your books. That's no joke, and it's all the more damaging when your books get less than 20 ratings on average (which is nuts, because you sell a lot more books than that!). Come on, everybody! Let's show Sarah our support by piling on some ratings! :)
