Also beyond the gates of justice at Enies Lobby isn’t the new world, it opens up to one of the calm belts, the New World wasn’t mentioned until the straws went back to Water 7 after beating CP9. The stuff behind the gate and Enies lobby are all on the side of the red line the straw hats are on. Enies lobby is apart of the grand line. Also pardon me for the large wall of text.

No spoilers. The link takes you to reddit but it’s just the image and nothing else. There’s no country names and the brown land masses are probably not that accurate but the lay out of the world is, below i’ve also provided some context to the globe/map, hopefully some of it is helpful: -The Red land mass is the red line, the area of it where you see the gaps is reverse mountain, looking closely you can see that there’s a gap connecting to each of the blue seas, they are the rivers/currents that provide the congenital way into the grand line. -The thick middle blue bar going across the red line is the Grand line with the thinner lighter blue lines parallel to it are the calm belts. The red line goes through the middle of the grand line creating the two halves. -The right half of the grand line is considered the first half of the grand line, where luffy and the crew are currently in. The completely horizontal reverse mountain gap goes into it, the furthest land points at the end of the gap are the twin capes, where Laboon and crocus are. -The left half of the grand line is the new world, the part of it you’re seeing on the map is considered the end of the grand line(at least physically). -Travelling through the first half of the grand line you’ll eventually hit another side of the redline, it’s on the other side of the globe we can’t see in this image. It looks exactly the same as the side we’re looking at except there aren’t gaps like Reverse Mountain has. The other side of it is the new world. In order to get to the new world from the first half of the GL you need to go through Fishman island, located at the bottom of the sea floor. The world gov. capital Marijoa is somewhere on top of the Red line, I won’t explain anything more about the WG facilities, that stuff will be explained later. Everything explained in this comment has been stated or implied by this point of the story.

In all the official translations it says “5 elder stars”, that’s what I first read them as too, also it’s a decent translation of the Japanese name. I guess people just leave out the star for convenience.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ GEKS. NOT A SPOILER. To help clarify, the Gates of Justice in Enies Lobby lead to 2 separate locations. Navy HQ, and Impel Down the underwater prison the world government puts its most dangerous criminals in. All 3 locations are on the first half of the Grand Line. We are also still on the first half of the grand line. Remember that the Red Line circles around the globe just like the Grand Line does. Think of the Grand Line as the Equator and the Red Line as the International Date Line. Both circle the globe but in opposite directions. The second half of the Grand Line is known as the New World. We know we are still in the first half of the Grand Line because we haven’t reached the Red Line again yet. Because both lines circle the globe that means they intersect at two points. The first is Reverse mountain, the second would be on the opposite side of the world as Reverse Mountain. Which means in order to enter the new world you have to find a way across or around the Red Line again. Also important clarification, Navy HQ and Mary Geoise are not the same place. Mary Geoise is not inside the Gates of Justice from Enies Lobby. It is somewhere else in the world of One Piece, its location hasn’t yet been revealed at this point in the story. Jack, if it helps them to visualize the Grand Line and Red Line, there are simple maps you can find on google that won’t spoil anything. Without a visual aid they seem to be confused.

Jack is slightly misunderstanding how the shadows work. The power is determined by the body of the zombie, the shadow contains the personality and skills of the previous owner, but NOT their power. So for example the Samurai from Wano has Brooks fighting style, but not Brooks strength.

The shadow isn’t where your fighting spirt, skills, etc resides. Think of the shadow as a copy of the soul, the show said the shadow is another soul of yours, because it follows you everywhere, it mimics any spiritual attributes you have, willpower, personality, knowledge such as fighting skill(mentioned in last batch) etc. So even if it’s taken away you still have your true soul which is in your body. Having your shadow taken doesn’t mean you would lose anything besides the ability to be in the sun.

the second half of the grand line is as explained by coby called the new world. to get to the second half they have to get past the red line (it circled back since the grand line and red line cross perpendicularly) not many make it to the new world, which makes pirate there on a whole different level. don krieg made it only as far as the grand line and got his his ass whooped and he ran back to baratie looking for a happy meal. to get to the new would you first have to figure a way to get to the grand line (hard to get directly since there are sea monsters and calm water and no wind etc etc) then try to figure a way to get through the red line again to enter the second half aka the new world (problem here there's no reverse mountain to shoot them up and through. reminder red line is huge rocks that go all the way through the bottom) as for the details, the show goes through them as you go along so you don't get overwhelmed, take it as you go and don't think too hard beyond what the show gives you!

The Laboon callback is truly only something a story as long and expansive as one piece can do . It's a benefit from this series spanning so many chapters and Oda is a master at it. This will not be the last time something is mentioned and only 200 eps later it ties back to it, and everytime it does, it feels magical.
