Mt. Lady (at a point in the plot before she had to mature and become more serious, perhaps early in the anime) enjoys the fame and glamor that comes with being a heroine without having to work as hard as other heroes. Stronger ones are in charge of the dirty work, until she receives a mysterious gift (delivered by two different antagonists, depending on the route taken), a gift that will punish Mt. Lady's passivity in two different ways (turning her into a card or furniture).
