The Ambush (story)

Corrin, Byleth and Alear were playing UNO with the sisters Blu, Rosso, and Grigio in a modest space station that allows travel between different locations and sometimes between different universes through some portals, after the clash between both universes. There were still many things that were very unclear, and they are still not sure how to remedy such a situation, even that at least the six girls have become friends and have allied to find a solution to this whole situation. In addition, since a few months ago they managed to create portals that go from that space station (which is their meeting point) to their homes, although they are usually most of the time in the station until things stabilize a little around the whole conflict that is causing the collision of two universes.

On the other hand, Alear hasn't been home for a long time, so she feels the duty to verify that everything is still okay at home, so that night she plans to leave after playing and having dinner with her companions. She hasn't seen his loved ones for a long time, but she has a hunch that something might be going on at home. Finally, Alear finishes dinner, says goodbye to her companions and affirms that she will be back soon, and then crosses the portal to Lythos, her home.

After a brief but uncomfortable trans-dimensional trip, she is devastated to see that the reality at home is very different from the one she left when the clash of universes happened, and she had to leave. The clash between universes began 3 years ago and when it happened, it did not affect Lythos in a clear or negative way, but now, after 3 years, everything has changed a lot and it seems to be for the worse, or so Alear thinks when she sees her home in ruins and engulfed in flames.

It does not seem that so much destruction is something that happened years, months or weeks ago, but it seems that the destruction was recent. Alear then searches through the rubble to see if he can help some people or find anyone alive and finds his guardians Clanne and Vander injured yet still alive lying on the ground. However, something that caught his attention greatly before helping them is Framme, or something that looks like Framme. It is a naked solid gold statue. Framme has grown a lot in the last 3 years, but this is definitely not the way Alear would have liked to perceive it.

However, when Alear took a step to get closer to Framme, she heard some footsteps behind her and turned around to find a strange alien, then Framme violently asked that alien about who he is and if he is the one who has caused all that destruction in her home. When Alear realized that the alien (who is Dada) has a ray gun in his hand, she stood on guard with her sword ready to fight, but unfortunately, she didn't act fast enough and was shot down by Dada's ray while he jumped happily motivated by thinking of all he can do while playing with his new victim, being teleported by the ray while reacting confused. By the time Alear reacted, it was too late as she had been teleported naked into a large human-sized test tube, and the only thing she did (for that is all she could do), devoid of her sword and isolated, is to hit the glass wall.

Alear, frightened and confused by what is happening, begins to try to recognize the environment around her without being able to fully understand what is happening out there in the place where she has been teleported into that test tube, even though it looks like another space station but larger. There are several more aliens and a mysterious winged woman with a lab coat over her wings.

Meanwhile, outside the test tube, Bat is looking at some smaller test tubes with blood samples of Alear herself, Framme, Robin and Shez thinking what he could do to further his research with those samples, while Ina, motivated because it has been many years since she was in a laboratory or something like it, thinks it would be interesting to make clones of the captured women and be able to control the clones or perhaps serve to create a camouflage interface that allows his allies to present themselves with the appearance of the captured victims.

However, Dada interrupts Ina's conversation thinking that maybe she can help her execute the idea she came up with to transform Alear. Since they usually transform women into statues with their technology, but not into other things like puppets, figurines or anything else of a smaller size, Dada asks Ina to turn Alear into a puppet with her powers.

Ina, unconcerned but a little irritated that Dada interrupted her scientific conversation with Bat, understands Dada's animosity at finding a new toy so she accepts the proposal and walks towards Alear, then Ina points her hand at Alear and, with her powers of manipulation of matter, makes her hand glow with a fuchsia energy and that energy begins to spread towards Alear and envelop her while she hits the test tube scared without knowing what is happening.

Even though it seems that Ina is something like a witch because of how she uses her powers, she is something closer to a goddess because she can be in several places at the same time and because she can manipulate matter with her mind, at least in her ethereal form (which is her usual form in all the universes in which she travels except when she is in her original universe, where she is forced to look for a physical vehicle).

Thus, Alear's transformation was practically instantaneous, shrunken and falling to the floor of the test tube with a smile and a vacant stare.

The next day Ina was again sipping a cup of coffee appreciating how they arranged her new acquisition, the golden statue of Framme, while Dada was around under the shade of a tree in Ina's garden playing with his new puppet.
