Gummy shark design timelapse (+ commission schedule!)

Finished the gummy shark design and thought it would be fun to show the process! As I have mentioned before, I most often don't have a clear idea of what I want the completed work to look like so I start drawing purely based on the feeling I want it to emit. In this case I wanted the design to kind of look like the inspiration which is the gummy shark candy (or is it "gummi"? Sorry I'm Finnish lol) so I wanted it to have something sharp and vibrant to represent the blue raspberry and something soft for the vanilla flavor.

I was a bit hesitant of the final color combination because I loved the all blue palette but in the end I felt like the faint orange-pink would be a nice balance and support the soft contrast. Feels so good to finally have this design out of my system because it's been living there rent free for a long time. All my designs end up being more or less passion projects so they often take time to brew into their final form... 😂

The reference sheet still needs some work but once it's completed by the end of the week I'll start taking offers for this design! Patrons will have the first dibs before putting them on sale most likely on TH ( https://toyhou.se/Jeniak ). AB will be included!

As for the commission opening schedule, I will be opening a few slots for the colored full body sketches! They will be 180€ each, no FCFS and with a waitlist option. I will keep my waitlist a bit shorter this time due to contract work but hopefully open slots more often!

The commission form for the fullbody sketches will open on 26th June at 6 PM Helsinki time. Although I need to keep the queue a bit shorter this time around I'm SO excited for these! It's a bit different from what I usually do and it's been a long time since I introduced a new commission type. 🤩
