My aim with Miss Lockwood was to try to capture in her essence something girly and feminine.
If your protagonist is an 18 year old high school detective then it doesn't work to give them the persona of a hard-bitten cop or super sleuth. Emily has quite a few encounters with 'hot' boys in her adventures and unlike Young Amanda (for example) she devotes a lot of time thinking about this and can be led astray. This pose was meant to say is he looking at me (I hope so).
