April is the 4th month, and 4 is an unlucky number in Japan because it sounds like the word βdeathβ in Japanese. Therefore, bad things in anime tend to happen disproportionately in April lol

2025-06-05 11:40:25 +0000 UTCU guys kinda missed out the beautiful thing that nana was saying to deku when she was testing him, if he had the resolve to kill shigaraki, she always felt so much pain and regret in the decision she made for protect his son at the time, for her was a huge mistake and that provoke his son to be murdered and consequently the creation of Shigaraki, in that moment when she was talking to deku, she say to gran torino, "we made a mistake in our decision, but we were blessed in our students" referring to her student (All might) and gran torino student (Deku), damn i cried so hard this time and the first time i see that line, idk why but always anything of nana makes me so emotional and sad cuz. I cant handle my beautiful girl Nana Shimura being that regretful, sad and crying that much :(

It was shown briefly earlier, and everyone there referred to the yellow energy vestige as Yagi, which is All Might's name (Yagi Toshinori), and this is what Gran Torino and Shimura call All Might. That's why he was crying when Deku passed Shimura's test, because it was confirmed to him (though he already knew) that he chose the right successor.

2025-06-04 17:41:30 +0000 UTCEpisode 1 of My Hero Academia, Deku exclaims "A huge villain!!!" with excitement, and watches Kamui Woods and Mount Lady take him down. It's not his responsibility yet, but he can't wait until he gets to fight villains too! Deku ends this episode, barely one year later, with "A huge villain..." downtrodden and weary. It's his responsibility now (or at least he's choosing to take on that burden). It really shows how much All Might shouldered to be the Symbol of Peace, and how strong your convictions must be in order to be a *true hero* (maybe Stain was on to something...) The writing continues to connect more and more, back through all the seasons. It might not twists and turns as crazy as AoT (though I did appreciate Shoto telling Endeavor "on your feet, dad" considering they have the same VA), but the more I watch it, the writing in this series is a lot deeper and more intricate than people generally give credit.

2025-06-04 17:21:19 +0000 UTCI want to make it concrete for you guys that the yellow "energy guy" in the vestiges IS All-Might. The reason he appears as energy is that he's still alive. It's also the reason why All-Might could kinda sense what was going on during Deku's conversation with the vestiges. Also, I don't think Deku has ever killed someone. I don't think he COULD, emotionally. The movies aren't canon, but in the ones I've seen, he certainly didn't kill anyone.
