Another reactor does it this way so I thought I'd suggest it. It's upto to C&A, whichever they're comfortable with is fine by me ^^

2025-03-02 13:29:19 +0000 UTCSuch an awesome reaction during that pivotal scene, as always you guys didn't disappoint! My respect for A-1 pictures just skyrocketed with this episode. Everything about the scene of Jinwoo curing and waking his mom was perfection from start to end!! I can't tell you with enough words how happy I am with the way it turned out. In the manhwa we only get one panel of Jinwoo crying and his mom holding his hand and thanking him, but it was still such an emotionally pivotal scene since it was the first time we see Jinwoo actually shed tears since the time he "died" in the double dungeon. And the anime just elevated it 200%!! I'm so so happy they extended that scene and added in additional character animation because Jinwoo breaking down crying while also trying to stay strong and smile at his mom, telling her "it was ok, it was nothing" because he didn't want her to feel sad about him having struggled in her absence. It was PERFECTION!! The OST, the composition of lighting, the parallels with Jinah saying commenting on the warm breeze and we cut to that breeze flitting in through the window with the moonlight washing over his mom just as she woke up and smiled at him. Oh my god I'm just so in awe!! And the character animation during Jinwoo's breakdown scene and the voice acting. Man I'm crying again just thinking about it! The anime really did such an incredible job of showing how despite being one of, if not the strongest hunter in his country at the time, the sheer relief of having his mom back turns him into a little kid again. And preluding that scene with the flashback of young Jinwoo crying because he accidentally burned his mom with the boiling water. In the manhwa, his mom asks him if he was ok and didn't get burned too, and I love that in the anime they didn't give her any dialogue in the flashback scene, so the first time we actually hear her voice is after she wakes up and calls out to Jinwoo. It's such a tiny detail but the way they executed it was just...!! Absolute CINEMA imo! I'm assuming they skipped/shortened some of the non-plot important manhwa scenes just so they could extend this one scene and I'm so so happy they did. I'd dare to say this episode is easily my top 3 from the whole show thus far, alongside the Jinwoo x Igris fight in S1. Solo Leveling is predominantly a power fantasy but it's also a lot more than that. The plot only gets better from here. I can't WAIT to see how the anime will adapt the future chapters. Mad respect to A-1, it's clear that they really want to do right by this series and that they seem to love it just as much as we fans do. I'm so happy you guys loved this episode just as much too. I can't get enough of watching it! Seeing Jinwoo's struggles being so thusly rewarded, I feel just as proud of and happy for him! Can't wait for next week!!

2025-03-02 12:34:29 +0000 UTCI'll comment again after watching the reaction but just wanted to suggest this in case I forget later, I'd recommend you guys pause to read the notification screens in the future episodes, mainly the more descriptive ones, in case they flash too quickly and you can't read them while watching. Just so that you don't miss some of them that have plot relevant information that we'll touch on in the later episodes. I don't think it will jar our viewing experience so to speak so please feel fee to pause and read if you feel like you need to~^^~
