He is in charge of an entire organization and has plenty of things he has to work on, but hey, he is directly responsible for his minion failing to keep an eye on the girl according to you. It's not that the minion got bored or didn't take his job seriously. For all you know, assigning a minion to guard her is the job of another minion. Even if we pretend that it's entirely his mistake, he fixed it by retrieving her. It's a silly argument to act as if he is responsible for all the errors of those who work for him. You could argue he should have chosen a different minion or multiple minions to keep track of her, but that doesn't mean he himself was directly responsible for her escaping.

Like he is a criminal mastermind and he had no better plan than to off two rookie heroes just because they were a bit suspicious? That’s why he deserves mvp? Maybe, Eri should get mvp. She willingly went back to her abuser to save two stranger’s lives. Her play was successful too, she saved them.

But they actually say it in English instead of Japanese, using it as a borrowed phrase. So this moment is the show explaining what the English phrase "team up" means to a Japanese speaking audience(and the student characters). That kind of thing happens in Haikyuu pretty often too, it's always funny to see peoples' reaction to those moments.

2024-12-19 02:34:41 +0000 UTCAs much as I agree with Deku wanting to save the girl ASAP Mirio made the right approach honestly because with what Mirio knows about Overhaul in that moment as Nighteye’s agency has been looking into it if Deku went against Overhaul I don’t see him winning at all right there and Overhaul would take Eri back anyways and make himself harder to find it would cause more harm and he would have messed up the ongoing operations for the team up to stop whatever Overhaul has going on as well. To rescue an abuse victim sometimes you can’t go upfront telling them they are an abuser and question them because they are dangerous. Also Mirio definitely knew something was wrong before even going into the alleyway it’s just he was talking about other things to divert overhaul’s attention so he wasn’t suspicious that they know there’s something wrong. I would say Mirio is more of an mvp or even Shigaraki for making moves himself without AFO and even bargaining getting info and his way for that ep. For the other episode yuhhh we love Kirishima IKTR also my husband Fat Gum is here we love to see it :)

They have a plan and are actively achieving steps to complete it. The villains have also caught so many insane Ls by this point that they need SOMETHING at least lol. Mirio was definitely the MVP aside from the villains but as of now I think the villains are on top. I'd personally give it to Shigaraki in specific because this is his own planning. No daddy AfO to help him out anymore but he's still making big moves.

2024-12-18 16:58:10 +0000 UTCan important note, nighteye’s foresight does not get less accurate the farther out it is. his foresight has actually *never* been wrong. the specific amount of time passed is what gets harder to determine. personally, i think miro deserves mvp for ep 4. i get it’s easy to see deku’s desire to save eri as the “right” choice, but miro had the presence of mind not to just pop off in the middle of a public space against a villian they don’t know much about. now that deku’s doing real hero work, he’s having to learn how complicated the world really is. miro was dialed into the big picture.
