We lost our minds. Thanks to everyone for this amazing journey! We loved it

Avatar 3x20-21 FINALE REACTION!

Comments

I LOVE YOUR REACTION why 2 things you realized that it wasnt about being a deus ex machina but aang staying true to himself and also i never thought about ty lee like that with being 6tuplet and now joining kyoshi warriors where everyone is the same never made that connection of her journey to accepting herself brava for that observation

Stefan

Ok, now i wanna erase my memories of these reactions and watch them again...

Katsuo

Ange smile at the end before they kissed had me rolling on the floor, you guys are so funny I can’t 😭😆 I love your reaction and emotions of this show. The was my childhood program, watch it on Nickelodeon when I was a child

Mathilde

Fun fact: the cherry pit girl was also voiced by Azula's actress, meaning she got to banish herself from the fire kingdom.

DudeTrue

What a great series and ending. Zuko still my favourite mvp in s3

Gavin fox

Ange's smile at the kiss got me rolling

I just saw a concert for ATLA and it was so beautiful. So many people were crying and screaming with joy, I would 11/10 recommend going. The arrangement and performance were filled with love ❤️❤️

Alyssa

100% agree on the lack of build up to the lion turtle stuff. People can argue for it and that's fine, but my issue stems from 2 things: 1. Avatar has always been absolutely God-Tier at set-up and pay-off. It can be subtle or it can be obvious, either way, when something happens, the audience might be surprised, they might not - but they would definitely understand. so it feels like a ball got dropped because the show had set such a high standard for themselves at this point. and 2. just in terms of the climax of a story, its not a good thing for the audience to be like 'what is happening? I don't understand whats going on.' that is simply not good. And it's almost a completely universal experience. I have watch heaps and heaps of people react to this show, and I have yet to see one reactor not go '????'

Tracey Theseira

I love that you pointed out how Ty Lee was born as a sextuplet, she spent her whole life hating being part of a matching set. So much so that she joined the circus just to be different. Yet here she is, finding herself and enjoying being once again part of an identical set, full of strong women who all look just like her. It is such a beautiful story line and many people overlook this, Ty Lee's entire character arc was defined by joining the Kyoshi warriors.

Personally, as much as I am a sucker for foreshadowing (One Piece is probably #3 show for me), I'm ok with the Deus Ex Machina of the Lion Turtle because I don't think any time was wasted in the show. Other than the small references to the Lion Turtle and energy bending (see The Library and The Swamp when Aang uses the roots to track Appa), there wasn't any foreshadowing but there was also so little unimportant time they could have cut to include more foreshadowing. In my opinion it's so much more important that Aang have a way to win and not kill the Firelord thematically, than for that win to be foreshadowed. Aang earned that Deus Ex Machina by sticking to his principles as far as I'm concerned

MattF315

I'm so glad ATLA and Vinland Saga Are in your top 5 Those are #1 and #2 respectively for me

MattF315

Kataang is the biggest i told you so in the history of this channel xD

Steffen Krüger

Hi guys. There were definitely some references to the Lion Turtles throughout the show, but the writers were very sneaky when including them in script. You would have had to have been paying very close attention to have noticed, so I don't blame you guys for not remembering any mentions or references of the Lion Turtles up until the series finales. One moment I distinctly remember is when the A-Team was in the library (2x10) and they were going through scrolls and books, and Aang literally sees one in a flip-book and says to Katara, "Hey, look at these weird Lion Turtle things." Like I said, there are more references, but that's one right there. The lion turtles are mentioned, but in passing, and they're easy to forget.

Rochelle Bonnick

please react to legend of korra🙏🏼

noah

Korra!!!

Chase

KHORRAAAAA

Thinkace

LMAO it would be so funny if you guys watched the Shyamalan 2010 live action of Avatar just to hate watch 😭😭😂😂😂😂

peio

What a finale for real!!! Loved your reaction to this animated show guys✨🔥🤍

Kassyel Nafrē

I really like Korra. But I think the cast of characters is the main issue. They were just not very close friends and didn’t went through a big journey like they did in last Airbender. I like a lot of stuff about Korra. The animation had a huge improvement and I like their take of doing short arcs for each season. It was promoted too much as a sequel to Avatar the last airbender. Korra is a good spin of series for avatar last airbender, but as a sequel it had stuff to be desired.

VesperQuartz15

Well if you want to know what happened to Suko’s mom you’ll have to read the comics

VesperQuartz15

There were some references to the existence of lion turtles.

Elias Perez

I like this explanation a lot

struggler sk

You guys should do legend of Korra

Israel

Thank you for editing the episodes Mason! Appreciate you as always ❤️

Carlie & Ange

One of my favorite series you've brought to the channel! I loved seeing your reactions to some of my favorite episodes; I'm glad the show was so well received! There's a lot to love about ATLA, and hearing your takes was always a lot of fun!

Mason D.

seconded!

Nyxel

negative reactions come from people that want it to be ATLA while it’s simply not. for what it is, Korra is really good

Martina

omg you guys have to do the live action movie (not show)... so iconic for what it is (bad)

Bravo Charlie

Yes! I really really hope the watch korra!

siggemushu

Gravity Falls needs to be your next watch! Make it happen! Especially with the return of their potential newest content releasing soon...

rikky maravilla

Now that you've finished the series, there are official graphic novels for Avatar that expand upon certain storylines and what happens after this story. Carlie will be particularly happy to hear that one of those focus on finding Zuko's mom! Thank you both for your wonderful reactions. It was so great reliving my favorite show from my childhood with you both :)

Eric H

i know yal prob wont do it right away (havent clicked yet) but i hope yal watch the legend of korra some time in the future

Degenerick

I'll give you my read on Aang entering the avatar state and see if you agree or not. In the kyoshi books, they explain that when an avatar has absolute control over the avatar state, they only enter into it for a second and quickly leave it, so they can take advantage of the power spike whithout the vulnerability of being killed and ending the cycle (just as Aang does at the end of the fight, when he puts the fire away with insane water bending) So, before that, he wasn't in total control. He didn't have his chakras unlocked by the pointy rock. That just triggered the defense mechanism and all the past avatars took control, and they are the ones who wanted to kill the firelord. The only way for Aang to unlock his chakras was to let go what binds him to this world... in season 2 it was his love for Katara, but in the finale that changed. After his conversation with Kyoshi, what binded him to the world was his duty to end the firelord's life, and end the war that way. Only by choosing a different path and ending the war his own way, a more spiritual way, he unlocked his chakras and gained complete mastery over the avatar state. Before that he was just on auto-pilot, letting all the other avatars kick Ozai's ass. that's how I see it at least.

Jjj.

Zuko did redirect it, just not properly

KC

Everyone has opinions on TloKorra. When you come round to it, go in with a fresh mind and try resist comparing it to Atla, because it is simply a very different series with a different story and different themes they explore.

Daniel Duarte

If y’all watch legend of korra then youll find easter eggs from this show. Always so good

Rook964

The Agni Kai always gets me--so beautifully tragic. You almost forget that they're siblings but the score reminds you and the storyboarding depicts the behavioural exchange they've had with each other perfectly. One of the best fights period

wicecakes

excited for korra reactions

Asphyxisad

Zuko vs Azula gives me chills every time, The animation they did with Zuko's form and techniques is just amazing. Avatar state is legit just a hack, which is why they had to take it away from Aang to add more plot; Ozai might have been the strongest firebender ever in that moment with the Comet, or for sure very close, and was still fodder for Avatar state Aang

Mrhalloween

LEGEND OF KORRA?

Void

I think Aangs last chakra was located on his back where he was shot.So when he crashed into that rock it opened his last chakra, thus avatar state

Kevin

yesss it is so good and a lot of people don‘t even know this! love telling it :)

nxzo02

no need to rush into korma at all! in fact it'll probably be better to give them some space. while the shows def share a world and a vibe, they're very different in tone and themes. that said, can't wait!

Cornelius Ukena

this is one of my favorite details in the show

Cornelius Ukena

So great to finally see Aang confront the Fatherlord!

DudeTrue

No one ever remembers the 2 second mention of the lion turtle in won shi tongs library 😔 lol. So happy to see you guys finish the show!

Dsc

I'm really glad you are watching TLOK! I believe most of the negative reviews comes from a really vocal minority. If you two love the world of Avatar, Korra is definitely a good watch because they dive into the lore of the Avatar and the world surrounding it (I'd also recommend the comics). If you can separate the characters of Aang and Korra (Most viewers were looking for Aang in a entirely different character) then I believe Korra is objectively a good show. There are ups and downs of course, I mean it's tough to follow up a masterpiece like ATLA, but Korra definitely has great moments that you will LOVE. To be honest, taking a break to really soak in the finale of Avatar and coming back to TLOK later down the line might be perfect! Loved the reactions of my favorite series of all time. Take care Carlie and Ange!

DmanUNT2014

The fact the war started with the firelord and avatar as friends who eventually became enemies, then ended with the firelord and avatar starting as enemies and eventually becoming friends is beautiful.

Joshi Degush

a fact that i love about the agni kai between zuko & azula: remember when iroh teached zuko some techniques from the other nations long ago? zuko is using them in the fight. if you listen carefully, you can hear each element he is currently using. for example: 12:57 you can hear air when he’s bending fire, and right after in the uncut version should come earth, 13:17 is also earth and 13:24 is an air technique that you can also hear the air of. it is a detail i love the most out of all, it adds so much to it and also shows how much he extended his bending especially compared to azula here. I loved your reaction to every single episode!

nxzo02

ahhh I knew you would love ATLA, I’m so glad you watched it! I know you’ll love Korra as well

Martina

This show being so close to my heart and seeing you guys reaction through out the whole series has been a magical experience 🤍 thank you guys for these reactions!!!

Lorne Argent

Im so happy to hear the discussion on Azula and the empathy y’all have for her. She really is one of my favorite characters in all of fiction. As a kid watching this it was the first time i felt such strong empathy towards an “evil” character. Azula is the reason why i love characters like Jinx from Arcane or Annie from AoT. They all have done horrific things but you can 100% understand why they did what they did because of their trauma. Truly peak character writing 🙏🏽

Daniel Molina

Guys you better watch avatar korra it’s so good it’s related to avatar the last air bender
