I'm not saying who but one chararcter already showed up in some frames, the second one debuts like in the second part of the series , same goes for the third one. 2 of them are pretty easy to spot, the third one is pretty difficult if you never watched the show where he plays the MC.

Miyamura is Koki Uchiyama (Meruem from HxH, Toge from JJK, Tsukishima from Haikyuu, Rui from Demon Slayer), Toru is Seiichiro Yamashita (Raiden from 86), Sengoku is Nobuhiko Okamoto ( Bakugo from My Hero Academia, Nishinoya from Haikyuu, Genya from Demon Slayer, Himmel from Frieren), Shin Yasuda the professor is Kenjiro Tsuda ( Nanami from JJK).

The manga had like 127 ep I think and the anime last ep is the same as the last ep in the manga (so s1 finish and there's nothing after). That was a whole drama back in the day so if you feel something got "rushed" it didn't, it had more ep in the manga and more "meaning". Respecting about s2 is exactly what "missing pieces" means, some ep from the manga that weren't in s1. Although in s2 that manga ep are all mix so each ep is more about a "theme" so like one ep could be all the ep in the manga that Toru didn't have in s1 and then all about the teachers, etc etc EDIT: also watch the op for ep 6 and then also for ep 7. They a little cute thing in my opinion for the op. There's also I belive some other cut scene in ep7 and another somewhere else.
