The creator of JJK even said that without MHA that JJK would not have ever happened. JJK was the one who drew inspiration from MHA. I see a lot of anime noobs do MHA reactions later on after JJK and they say its another mahito. No mahito is another shigaraki lmao

2024-07-30 06:35:35 +0000 UTCbut what percentage of those is shounen? cause this feels like comparing apples and oranges. fan service is not something i condone or would defend but to play devils advocate it is there (present) because target audience for shounen is teenage boys and what they all have in common is that they are undergoing puberty so fan service is marketing thing not horny mangaka thing (though there are also cases of mangaka horniness too :/ ) OFC there is shounen without such blatant and untasteful fan service but it is very rare to find shounen without any at all

2024-07-30 06:09:16 +0000 UTCpersonally my MVP for this episode is Bakugo because even though his world view was shattered, he realized not only that person he looked down on would realistically defeat him in full on life or death battle but then while he was already moping about that he saw the ice dude solo his test and that felt like kicking bakugo while he was on the ground. yet in spite of all that in the end he still stayed focused on his goal to become number one hero without needing anyone to cheer him up or anything, it shows his dedication and passion for his goal and that he is more than just a bully in spite of his explosive nature (pun not intended)

It's like growing up with everyone telling you how academically gifted you are in a class of average students and making that your personality. But once you get transferred to a class at your proper academic level, you realize you're NOT the smartest kid there. Before, you didn't have anyone threatening your position as the smartest kid in class, but suddenly, now there's 25 kids just as smart as you. And with your personality having been built on your previous pride at being better than everyone else, it's going to be frustrating to adjust, knowing that's not true anymore. Or that's how I read Bakugo, at least. With all of this in mind, the fact that Bakugo has been so threatened by Deku since childhood means a great deal. Also, the villain with the hands all over his faceโ his voice actor also voices Tsukishima! You'll hear Tsukki a lot when he speaks. ๐
