Captain: Your all time favorite character - can be Straw Hats or other People. Right Hand: 1 person - ure favorite Straw Hat (if u have already a Straw Hat as captain, second favorite Straw Hat Member Crew: 4 People - no Straw Hats Straw Hats - ranking of the remaining Straw Hats Hope u understand it.

I understand not watching things not written by Oda because it can be slow or out of character. But if it’s written by Oda it’s designed to add to the experience. I find “don’t watch it, it’s not canon” really pretentious and ungrateful, but that’s just me.

2024-07-24 07:21:24 +0000 UTCOk Oda has kept things vague about canonisity because of it being bad marketing to confirm nor deny - only mentioning characters to be canon, the ones above have been written by or involved him - it’s been mentioned that strong world should be set after thriller bark. However because of timing or how long OP is, there are inconsistency’s in them. However the ones written by Oda especially should be seen as “canon” thematicly and characteristically - the movies are designed to be bottle episodes so ultimately it doesn’t matter. What makes these different is that there has been an effort to make these more relevant and accessible.

2024-07-24 03:28:42 +0000 UTCThere's one filler arc that's non-canon (pretty sure at least) but feels pretty well fitting imho. How they get there makes sense, doesn't feel like it delays anything, fits into the world, and showcases the crew's personality fairly well.

2024-07-24 03:06:56 +0000 UTCI’m pretty sure the only 1 to be 100% officially be confirmed as cannon by Oda is strong world - it had a part 0 manga and everything. There are a few other movies that are up for debate tho. As for MHA there is no debate - they are all cannon, and bring up details and references that ad to the world and plot, the final act references a lot. This not to say movies are required but if you want context and the full experience watch them.

I think picking your favorite character in general whether it be straw hat or side character as captain would be best so we know who your favorite character as a whole is as you both watch!
