MY HERO ACADEMIA will be replacing Hunter x Hunter and we will begin uploading those reactions late next week!
My Hero will be uploaded 3 times a week (individual episodes) and that will ramp up to 4 episodes a week for some of the later seasons.
We have made the decision to start this anime without taking it to a poll because the final seasons are currently airing and we want to cover the series while it's still relevant. We also have wanted to start this show for a while now so that is also part of the decision.
Don't worry, there will be plenty of polls and variety still on the channel!

This has some S tier english voice acting, especially with the top tier english voice cast. Chris Sabat (Eng voice of Vegeta, Piccolo and a tonne of other characters) kills it as All Might!!! as well as Justin Briner who voices the main character Midoriya will give you chills in some of the epic moments and movies!!! I recommend watching it in English dub but the jap dub also slaps. Been a youtube fan of yours since Attack on Titan reactions.

I think they realized the anime was a cash-cow and cut down how much they spent on animation after season 3. Luckily, 6 and what we've seen of 7 have been solid.

Konosuba is amazing but I recently start reading the original light novel and I realized the anime actually dine kazuma dirty since everytime he gets to be serious and cool in the LN are either not present or rewritten in the anime so he gets nerf. Would love to see them react to it down the line but some people said they needed to be more familiar with the isekai genre to really get all of it but I don't want them to watch other isekai because you can actually count on one handed how many good isekai exist.

2024-07-03 01:45:57 +0000 UTCI've never commented on anyone i've subbed before (i simply want to support from the shadows!) but I just wanted to say while MHA has gotten flack for it's 'childish looks' (strange to say this honestly, and you'll see for yourselves!), the series is just the pinnacle of thematic storytelling and a show that genuinely moves you! It's a shame that most people watch it for the 'fighting scenes' because the show really is about healing and growth and introspection and above all, kindness. And I feel you both would enjoy these themes since you're both so attentive and insightful in the end of every episode lol also the soundtrack is incredible. You'll find some of your favourite voice actors in there too! Anyway sorry for yapping lol It's such an important show to me personally :'D Super stoked for you to start watching! Can't wait to see your reactions!! Love you both!

2024-07-02 22:31:34 +0000 UTCI think MHA as a manga is very mid (the true term of mid 5/10 , it's just okay it does it's job as a shounen nothing more nothing less), the anime is a little bit better because the seyiu and the music are great. But I do think it's a good show to react to because as said before It does is job as a shonen and always manage to get those special oumph moments that really get better when you share them with someone.

That’s my personally preference, but I want to reassure you that the voice acting in the dubbed version is also good! Basically, the voice acting in either version is top tier, but with subs they don’t have to adjust the dialogue to fit lip movement so you get more authentic translations. Usually those changes are minor, but in some cases they result in leaving somewhat prominent dialogue out or changing it in a way that alters big moments. That’s about it though. Either way you’ll be in good hands!

This way it’s fun to watch without the detached feeling of “but this doesn’t really happen so who cares,” although you simultaneously know it’s written in a way that won’t cause repercussions for the show, since there are fans who maybe won’t watch them.

Yeah the anime elevates everything, but the manga is equally as amazing, if not for Horikoshi’s art alone (seriously, he’s easily one of the best artists of this generation of mangaka). The show does something I find is lacking in current stories, and it’s the emotional pull it has in it’s fights, storylines, character growth, and messages/themes. I won’t go into exact details, because spoilers, but if I had to say there was 1 episode that “spoke” for MHA as a whole, it would be season 2 episode 10. If you watch up to that episode, and genuinely tell me that you think the emotions are “forced”, then I don’t think the story is for you. I’ve never felt forced to feel for any of these characters, rather, the story makes you earn that feeling. Yes, the class 1-a cast could definitely be a lot more fleshed out as you move away from our main 7ish members, but Horikoshi still uses them really well. The villains are also unique (imo) in shounen manga, because they’re all products of a current, broken society. Seriously, I could go on for hours about the details, but these are just my thoughts. Again, if you feel like the story is “mid” or “cliche” then it’s more than likely the story isn’t for you. We all have our own opinions 😊

It is like they want you to feel some way by remind you a lot what someone is thinking or what is gone through, which made me step away from it.

They're kind of (?) canon, but were released ahead of the anime story and have some significant spoilers if they're watched in release order. For Ange's sort of relevance they're on the level of Broly for DBZ, where not "strictly canon" but really really good (better than the show for animation etc since movie budget) and are mostly contained stories that are great. There's 3 movies, and when you're caught up 7 seasons
