As far as your confusion as to how zuko got to the top of the glacier, in the shot before they show him they pan upwards from the oasis to the top of the glacier, you can see a path leading upwards. We can assume Zuko climbed up there

2024-05-17 04:26:29 +0000 UTCI wouldn't say cartoon logic, in episode 16 Zhao specifically says that Jeong Jeong ran off into the woods after that big fire wheel thing, so he was basically using that as a distraction and ofc they aren't gonna animate Jeong Jeong running off into the woods when the effect was meant, in-universe, to look like he dissappeared. Similar thing here with Zuko, He knocked Katara out and then climbed the cliff while dragging Aang, which there's not much point in animating since we just saw Zuko do a whole load of other crazy stuff to even get to Aang in the first place.
