That's a fact. Yorknew was paced so spectacularly which is why it's my favorite arc.

2024-02-29 12:18:34 +0000 UTCI think the whole concept and system behind this arc is incredibly well-written and thought-out. It's still my least favorite arc out of the entire show though. Especially the final fight of the arc is terrible imo (for HxH-standards at least, it would still be one of the better fights in many other shows). On the other hand: the dodgeball-game is one of the best moments of the entire show for me. Still, I think the certain arc everyone is always talking about when it comes to this show took everything every other arc did amazingly and simply did it a little bit better, which is why I believe it deserves all the praise it gets and not simply because it's "more grandiose". I personally didn't mind the pacing either but I guess that would be the only critique I could understand.

Just from the first 4 episodes of this arc, a lot of things already happened, and I just checked the 4 episodes that they're going to watch next week and a lot also happened in those 4, it's like I can't believe that we're gonna have "that" and "that" already by next week.

I think if Ange is gonna cover a song from the 1999 version for this arc, the first opening song would fit this arc really well. 2024-01-19 19:56:21 +0000 UTCGreed Island is so fun and feels so good to watch. I'm so excited for more of your reactions to it. It's so well thought out with the rules of the game, it's like Togashi really invented his own game. Btw, Kurapika's fever is another big hint of his power's drawback. He was using his chain jail for quite a while holding Chrollo during the whole negotiations and hostage exchange thing and then he used two judgements chains - for Chrollo and Paku, so he really used his power a lot. Also about Gon's power. I love that Carlie observed at the end that it was kinda like Uvo's. If you recall his big bang impact, it has him concentrate all his aura into his fist, and both Uvo and Gon are enhancers :)
