2023-12-04 20:18:07 +0000 UTCYeah I mean the other options are to keep your eyes on the subtitles while talking or wait for zero dialogue (which is rare and can't be planned for). IDK if you watch them but the "Semblance of Sanity" bros on YouTube are really good about catching 99% of the dialogue while also interjecting at key moments. To be fair, they're much more experienced in the watching of the anime lol.

I don't want you to take it TOO literally. Also, the actual word Subaru uses for the title of the fairy tale is "Oni" which translates to "Demon." So, yeah. Lastly, I am ALL FOR you guys pausing the episode when you feel like you have to dive into a mid-episode discussion. That's much more satisfying than watching you guys look away from the screen during dialogue.

I think you just re-awakened a 2017 internet war and all sorts of gate-wars. for better or worse. ps: While I apprecite certain other characters, I still liked Rem here > emilia, but there was something about Ram though and how brutally honest and transparent she is about being the badass girl in the room... but that could be my masochistic side kicking in :P

It's almost like the video got a copyright/mute strike and had to be muted ... but even with cleared cookies and differnet browsers.. same thing.. but i'm watching this in canada so i dont know if there's some governance/compliance thing somewhere

2023-12-01 20:41:51 +0000 UTCGuys, the english subs always do reactors dirty here, the word that Subaru uses when talking about the "Ogres" is "Oni". Not gonna delve in japanese mythology and why it's like that, just know that it is the same word to say "Demon". So you can read "Blue ogre and red ogre" also as "Blue demon and red demon". Also, this is the first episode where it hit for me. Try to pay attention to the fact that Re Zero ALWAYS puts the title of the episode at the end, fullscreen. This allows them to use spoiler from the episode without worry, sometimes making the last scenes even more impactful. I think there are quite a lot of REALLY well placed ones that gave me a good chill the first time watching!
