2023-11-28 12:44:10 +0000 UTCyou are not wrong, generally concept is simple to comprehend, but difference between knowing something in theory and experiencing it firsthand in this case is not trivial. imagine for example learning how to drive by only playing need for speed games and running realistic driving simulations. those two and especially the later can trully help you prepare for real experience but those two alone will never be enough to say you understand how to drive.

2023-11-27 20:08:56 +0000 UTCVERY fun point :) lol I love how re:zero is so intricate that moments like these are softly replied to like almost at the end of season 2 you find out why she doesn't give it back, but by then unless you're paying attention you will miss the reveal SPOILER AHEAD::: ; ; ; ; ; Betty cannot produce mana, so she absorbs a fraction of mana from everyone in the mansion in order to maintain her self and even pockets a bit of it every day so she can one day use it in the future. We see her go all out at the end vs some white flufflies, and thats how she's able to finish off such a threat, but after that she's basically blew through her reserves of stored mana and is empty once more. She took his mana and basically saved it because its all she can do, she's just broken / perfect like that.

Often when a being that is way older than they would appear, appears as a young girl. Beatrice in case you missed it is a Spirit. Very similar to Puck or the glowy orbs Emilia communes with, She is contracted to Rooswaal to guard his library. She could have just appeared as a gun, a book, a fully grown adult, a dragon, or a cat like puck does and she would still be the same spirit. (note I'm not saying spirits can randomly change their appearance, however puck proves in episode 1 he can change his size) . Subaru is a gamer who believes he's in a game. Imagine you were suddenly teleported into DBZ world and had a monkey tail, you'd immediately start trying to go super sayian, attempting to manifest kai blast, etc. However what if you were just a normal person with a tail in said world... lol Twins are: Rem: Blue hair "younger" sister who is good at stuff Ram: Red hair "older" sister who is starky with Barusa. Barusa: This is a term Ram calls subaru, a play on his name as it is used in a popular binding curse in Japan. Also it's his name spelt out of order. Subaru says some dumb shit - Yes... Yes he does, because to him who cares he's just in a game with npcs who don't even know he's the MC. What if the NPCs heard and understood you while you were playing Zelda. example: "omg the dialogue, just hurry up and give me the quest already holy sht.... yeah yeah yada yada go kill this and return gotcha, where's my map, ah its over there kk". / "oh another harvest quest, hope this will increase my charisma with this faction". "damn this time i wont die on this sidequest".

As others have said, Loli is a term used in anime to refer to a small or petite girl, it's strictly a bodytype definition and is usually used in a joking manner for characters to say how cute a girl looks. (the male variant is Shota) And Subaru, yes there's the trope of him knowing he's been Isekai'd but I read a while back a theory of him treating everything he's involved in right now like a Video Game, from how he's talking to people, calling them NPC's, bundles of EXP and thinking magic just comes to you naturally (plus the respawn thing he's got) so at the moment he's not really treating people like people, more like you'd treat people in an RPG. That gets fixed soon enough though. Current tally of days Subaru has been in this world are 11.

2023-11-27 07:42:26 +0000 UTCI don't know what you mean by "into this" but I am talking about Subaru acting like he is in a game which is nothing related to plot but to him as a person who watch lot of anime and act surprised that world he is in is not same as the typical world from isekai anime and manga he watched or read. This is something established in episode 1, no idea what you have in mind when you talk about future EDIT: after finishing my shift and after two strong coffee i think i know what you are refering to but that is plot point that becomes relevant in the future with characters that are not yet introduced properly. i could be wrong and maybe you are thinking of something else entirely, but either way my first comment was only talking about concept of subaru's character during his introduction aka just a weeb who watch lot of anime who thinks his wish was fullfiled since he as many others i am sure in real life wondered how interesting would it be if they got isekaid. cause before we actually see him die in the end of episode 1b that is all we knew about subaru, that he is weeb and he loves isekai anime and was excited to be isekaid and was confused that people dont act like they typically do in isekai anime he watched

I am not saying they cant or wont enjoy anime cause they never watched any other isekai beforehand. i am pointing out they would understand subaru's character much more if they were. but that is just a very small part of re:zero, i am sure they will enjoy it and knowing isekai has nothing to do with re:zero's main plot which i am sure they will have lot of fun figuring out and trying to follow. i just dont want people to think i believe you cant understand RZ without knowing isekai.

2023-11-27 07:06:00 +0000 UTCsee the problem you guys fail to understand subaru's fantasies and to quote ange "the way this guys treats his life" is because subaru has mindset of someone who is well aware he got isekaid and is fully understanding the concept of what it means to be isekai'd as someone who watched lot of isekai anime. for you to understand said concept and have same POV you would also need to watch lot of isekai anime to understand why he thinks and acts the way he does. yes it is simple to just say isekai is genre where you get summoned or die and get reincarnated into different world but genre is more than that and more nuanced. like for example the world mc gets isekai'd often have different laws and they are very often game related. if mc or viewer is familiar with how games work they would normally be able to familiarize with the new world mc is isekaid pretty easily. re:zero is making fun of this trope and you guys are diving into it head first without said knowledge. So moments like where subaru is not taking this seriously or treat others like game NPC's is because he belives that is what is happening to him. he is treating it as a game. but explaining anything about this is risky and borderline spoilery if i try to elaborate any further about subaru's character so only way to fully understand subaru is to actually watch other isekai anime and form your own understanding and comprehension of the genre. just going back to my comment in 1st episode that it is weird choice for people to ask you to react to re:zero before being properly introduced in genre with more generic and true to its tropes.
