All this from someone who at first vehemently refused to coach them. Plus i'm pretty sure he's doing it all without getting paid for it…(except the drink that Takeda buys him lol)

And it's also not the first time that he's seen an opposing setter do it, Kenma did it in the practice match against Karasuno. And while i agree that Kageyama has grown a lot, it's not something that stands out in this episode in particular imo. But yes that dump and his comeback to Oikawa were amazing

2023-09-13 22:53:04 +0000 UTCI love your reactions. I personally think the MVP is Kageyama, the other setter is known for being elite and thinking his skills were above everyone elses. Yet Kageyama not only observed and learned, but executed a skill on the spot he'd never used before from the setter he was challenging. That combined with Kageyama's past and how he interacted with his team before now showed incredible skill and growth.

On the surface he seems cooky and arrogant but as you learn more about him, you realize that he is actually a very hard worker, perfectionist and honest volleyball player. This is shown when he is seen reviewing the Karasuno match and making little adjustments to his setting for each of his spikers during the practice before the game. I love how he is a setter who can bring 1000% out of all his spikers which I believe Kageyama cannot do (at least right now). MVP for this episode has to be Oikawa for me!

It shows the addition of new character there so watching it before s2 starts would help (others might say skip it but would prefer if u watch it so u can understand what happened to nekoma before this character pops up in early part of s2)

Plus him and Iwazumi are best friends, best friends push each other like that. Oikawa is definitely a great antagonist and a skillful player, he loves Volleyball like the rest of them. He's one of my favorites in the show.

Actually, the taller the setter, the easier for him to do a dump attack, because his normal setting position is already over the net, so it's very difficult to read whether he'll set it or dump it... "Gianelli" from Italy is a great example. He's 2 meters tall (6'-7") :)

2023-09-13 17:01:27 +0000 UTCyea oikawa has sass and he will always be rude yet follow his old friend everytime lmao because aint that all how we behave towards our bestfriends? but the difference between kageyama and oikawa is that oikawa adapts tossing to the members, as you can see in the warm up session in this ep where he was even saying that the toss was a bit high and that he was sorry for that to the turnip head, kageyama's old teammate, whereas kageyama still has yet to achieve that yet. He's more like spike my toss however i give it to u and not giving the individualized tosses to the members like oikawa did.
