2023-09-05 08:48:02 +0000 UTCI personally can understand everyone else, but not Kwon. He has always been rude to Youngwoo even before he found out about her connections. He's always been jealous that Youngwoo is better than him and instead of focusing on learning from his mistakes and utilizing his own good qualities, he only focused on using underhanded methods and trying to slight Youngwoo at every chance he got. He's just using the "nepotism" as an excuse to justify his hate towards Youngwoo. At the end of the day, Youngwoo still deserves to be there and has higher specs than most of ,if not all, of the employees there and those were all earned by herself. She was only rejected due to discrimination over her autism. She proved her capabilities long before the nepotism claims so Kwon has no reason to think this is unfair especially when it hasn't even directly affected him. I'd understand if he was booted out in order to hire Youngwoo but no, he is still one of the 3 qualified interns who were chosen to work at a top firm in Korea and he has gotten praised for the actual good work he has done. If he cared so much about corrupt hiring practices and "nepotism" then he could argue that Attorney Choi was hired or favored because her own father is a respectable judge but it was never even mentioned.

About Youngwoo, I think you can't really expect her to be able to explain the situation clearly to Attorney Kwon in the way you're hoping. Remember the tendency for people with Autism is to be very black and white with their understanding of things. To Youngwoo, she understands what Attorney Choi told her to do to defend herself, but she wouldn't explain to Attorney Kwon because on a black and white level, she thinks what he has said is accurate so there's nothing for her to correct to defend herself. It's just his method which was not pleasant. Youngwoo's Dad, like many other parents have moments where he wonders whether he really did his best or whether there was more he could have done for her. With parents who have children with Autism, it's often even more confronting because there are more things their children may have difficulties with than most. I've actually seen this actor in many different roles, but I feel his acting is the best in this one. Big thumbs up. As for the CEO names, you may have picked up that Han's surname is in the name of the form her father founded, Hanbada, which means 'one ocean'. Interestingly enough, Tae Sumi uses her surname for her company, Taesan, which means 'large mountain'. So which place do you think Youngwoo would thrive in...if she were a whale? ๐

We all hate Kwon and how he act, but we can understand him at the point of nepotism. On the other side we can understand the father and why he took the opportunity of nepotism. This drama show us really how human are.
