2023-09-04 06:13:18 +0000 UTCI always get a good laugh from how the 2nd and 3rd years react to Shimizu's words of encouragement. It's such a good moment. Haikyuu is master-class when it comes to well written characters, dynamics, and their developments. If you're interested Ange, the composer is Yuki Hayashi. While I have a soft spot for Sawano Hiroyuki, and a couple of other composers who's works you haven't heard yet, Hayashi is up there for me among the GREATS who create powerful and resonating soundtracks. While I'm not a fan of the later seasons of My Hero Academia, Hayashi composes some of my favorite tracks in that show. He's on Spotify, etc., so if you're interested, go ahead and check out some of his other works.

2023-09-04 01:20:12 +0000 UTCAs a someone into sports from a very young age and still atm Haikyu just reminds me value of sports more, the team meetings, after practice meals, the banter with the lads. Teasing your teammates like Hinata does with Kageyama. Oh man I really miss my high school volleyball teammates and can relate pretty much everything shown in this show. They have done such a brilliant job of making Haikyu a real life experience what high school sports team lads go through. Crazy how an anime without any unrealistic super powers, super villain, no life or death situation still gets everyone so invested in something . Forever my comfort anime thisโค๏ธ๐

We don't get to see them too much but now that the official match has started you migh see them just outside the court along with Yamaguchi. One of them, Ennoshita Chikara, was the one Tanaka was doing his impression of a girlfriend with.

By the way, as they mentioned in EP14, the tournament they're playing now is basically the prelims to reach to the National tournament. The National tournament is across Japan, but the prelims is just across the Prefecture. Basically, Karasuno, Date Tech, Oikawa's team and all other teams introduced in these 2 episodes are in the same prefecture with Karasuno (Miyagi Prefecture), and they all have to fight for that one spot to reach to the National tournament. That's why they mentioned that if they want to play against Nekoma again, they have to beat all these guys first, and Nekoma have to beat all the guys in their own prefecture (Tokyo) as well.
