I feel like Koichi and everyone else are slowly losing the sense of consequences for their actions. Think about it. Josuke can just undo any physical damage that occurs to them or objects. Billions lost his arm and had no repercussions. That's probably why Koichi so willingly offered to be blinded. He may not have been thinking it, but he certainly didn't process how meaningless such a gesture was when his friend heals everything.
