Hello friends,

I just wanted to share a quick update, my mother is currently facing some serious health issues and I’ve been helping care for her, because of that, I haven’t been able to keep the work pace I would like to. I’m still drawing when I can, but at a slower pace. The next pieces I post won’t be part of any ongoing series or polls, just the art that I am able to make in between appointments.

Recently my mother went through what seems to be a schizophrenic episode. We don’t have an exact diagnosis yet as she refused to visit a doctor, but she did lost her sense of judgment and became a danger to herself and my father, because of that we had to intervene and bring her to the hospital.

Right now we’re waiting for a proper diagnosis so treatment can begin. Until then, she needs someone with her at all times, and me, my father and brother have been taking turns staying by her side.

Things are difficult right now, but I think it will be alright, we’ve had a similar case in the family before (my mother’s brother ) who’s been stable and fully functional for years with the right medication. I believe the same can happen with my mother once treatment begins and has time to take effect.
