Marshland Trail
Added 2025-10-08 20:54:21 +0000 UTCHi folks! This one is the Marshland Trail (40x30), a new swamp map! This is sort of a remake of an old map, the Swamp Bridges, which I thought deserved a 2nd pass. I came across it again a few weeks ago while working on the Swamp Bivouac and realized that I'm not quite happy with how most of my old swamp maps have aged, so I figured now could be a good time for me to revisit the biome for just a couple weeks and fill it out with refreshed versions that are more in line with my current abilities and standards. Feel free to convince me not to, but I promise I won't get caught up on this series for longer than a month, and it feels like a good fixation for the spooky month I think. Sound good?
Oh also, I haven't made a large map like this in a while so I looked up the max file size for Roll20 and found that their file limit for free accounts is currently 20MB! That's a far sight larger than the 5MB I've been restricting my maps to since 2018. I'm not going to go crazy and start making JPGs 20MB but I'm going to let my larger maps get up to 10MB if need be. So I've got that going for me, which is nice. If that's a problem for any reason, like there are low file limits for other common virtual tabletops that I'm forgetting, please let me know.
