Roadside Clearing

Hello everyone! Due to the holiday, this week's map is free and the adept rewards are also available to everyone! Consider this my thanks to all my patrons for supporting me, just a year ago the thought to start this hadn't even occurred to me and I couldn't be happier with how it's turned out. Thank you very much, and I hope you'll stick around for a while to see me make some more neat maps :)

Your map this time is a clearing next to a winding road (26x26), and the most tantalizing thing about it is a small cave opening that the perceptive adventurer might spot through the trees. Who knows what horrible beasts might dwell within? My money's on giant bats who prey on travelers, but that's just me. Also, as you may have noticed, this was made to be a set with the Forest Shack and Forked Crossroads maps (and to a lesser extent, Forest Clearing). People have been telling me for a while how much they want maps with similar styles that lead into one another, so hopefully, this batch scratches that itch.

And, starting next week, I'll begin drawing the maps from the most recent poll! I don't want to call it yet, but there does seem to be a clear winner (unless you have something to say about it). Make sure to get your vote in before Monday!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hey Alex, thanks for being a patron as long as you have! Getting 10 patrons was my first personal goal and I was half convinced I would never get more than 100, so it really is mindblowing that there's so many of you now. I'm glad you like my maps, I plan on making many more :)

I just wanted to pop in and say that, aside from another excellent map, your creations have been consistently great quality and have inspired many creative moments in my campaign. I became a patron when you posted your first map, and you were the very first map artist I supported (I support several others now, but it's always the email notification about another Neutral Party design that excites me the most). As such, I love that you're creating some synergistic maps that can be used together. It allows for some campaign arcs that remain consistent with art and tone, or even one-shots where we can exclusively build around your maps. We don't celebrate thanksgiving here in the UK, but I just wanted to give thanks for your work. Happy thanksgiving!
