Fun fact - When Krennic drives his index finger into Dedra's head during his interrogation, that wasn't scripted and something Ben Mendelsohn just decided to do on the fly. What an incedible decision by him that added so much more to that entire scene!

There are almost no relyable hyperspace-routes and it is extremely hard to find those. In the Expanded Universe (older content not included to be canon anymore by Disney) there are other Galaxies. At one point another species attacks the known Star Wars Galaxy from another galaxy for example. This is a main plot line from the books that play in the New Republic Era (after the fall of the Empire).
