43)Perfection? Not For Me: Ch.43
Added 2025-04-24 15:45:29 +0000 UTC“So…you're a god now?”, Granolah asked and I smiled before nodding, the rest of the Inner Circle looking just as confused as he did as we sat around a table in the Sacred World of the Kais.
“I am. I admit that it was a decision made in haste, but now I understand that it is one that I am going to see through.”
“Honestly, I can admit that I am not surprised at all,” The Cerealian spoke and I rolled my eyes at his words before turning to Panzy as she spoke up excitedly.
“Wait, with you being Supreme Kai, does that mean you're king of everything?”
“I wouldn't exactly phrase it like that, Ms. Panzy,” Shin spoke from where he was standing at my left side before I turned to Towa with an amused smile as she nodded.
“That is correct, Panzy. As Supreme Kai, Cuu is essentially the Lord of Creation of Universe 7.”
“You just love egging her on, don't you?”, I said, Towa just giving a shameless shrug as Panzy gave an excited squeal.
“You hear that, Glorio?! You're like a prince now~”
“I do not care for that, Panzy,” Glorio answered from where he was sitting underneath one of the few trees in the Sacred World, Kibito looking a bit uncomfortable at their exchange before I turned to Cheelai.
“So, what does this mean for the empire? You just going to promote someone new and go on with your new life?”, She asked and I smiled as I saw the slight panic in Broly's eyes.
“Do not worry. Usually, that would be the case, but we didn't build an empire together just for me to abandon it.”
“Told you he wouldn't ditch us,” I heard her whisper to Broly, who let out a relieved sigh as I leaned back in my seat.
“I have no intention of letting everything we built fall into someone else's hands. Divine or not, I'm still me. The Imperial Empire is not just a faction but our home and a symbol of peace and prosperity to all.”
“That still doesn't answer the whole 'god interfering with mortals' thing,” Granolah cut in, Paragus and Garana nodding in agreement as I hummed.
“From what we've been told, the Supreme Kai isn't exactly allowed to stick their noses into the dirt with the rest of us mortals, right Lord Shin?”
“That is correct, yes.”
“That's because they were taught not to, but I wasn't raised in the Heavens. I absorbed and trained to become the being I am today and I will not let protocol decide what I can and cannot protect,” I declared and Monaito smiled before nodding.
“That may bring you into conflict with other gods.”
“Then so be it. I am the god of Universe 7, not theirs.”
“The being that started out as only one of the strongest in his solar system to now being one of the strongest in the universe and chosen to guide creation. Oh, I do love the irony of that~”, Towa spoke from beside me and I smiled as I interlocked our hands with a smile.
“And chosen by you. How does it feel to be the Supreme Kai's consort?”
“Not that different from being the Demon King's sister if I have to be honest,” She said, giggling at my affronted look before I blinked as Panzy popped in between us with a grin.
“Wait, so does that mean Glorio and I have to stay here too? Are we technically going to be living in Heaven now?”
“Um, actually, this is not Heaven but the Sacred World of the-!”
“Yes, Panzy. You could say this is our version of Heaven,” I cut Shin off, watching as Panzy squealed before running off with Kibito and Glorio going after her.
“She's a lot more happy now than before,” I spoke as I watched her being a menace to her 'brother' and Towa smiled as she nodded.
“She is.”
“Not to bring the good mood down, but what are you going to do now? You know, since you're now a god and all,” Lemo asked and I saw everyone looking just as interested as I smiled and looked at Granolah
“How would you like to be King?”, I asked and silence hung in the air as Granolah blinked twice before he spoke.
“…Huh?”, Granolah just stared at him, his heterochromatic eyes wide with shock while everyone else looked just as stunned as he was.
“I'm being serious. Other than Bonyu and Garana, who I feel would fit being your council more than the actual leader, you fit the role perfectly. You fought for peace and justice to make sure no one had to go through what you did and despite everything that has happened in your life, you still care about others more than you want to admit.”
“That doesn't mean I'm king material. You can't just throw a crown at someone and call them a king,” He spoke with a frown and I rolled my eyes as I stood up from my seat.
“I'm not. I'm offering you the chance to be a symbol of justice for the universe. Besides, I'm the Supreme Kai so yes, I can just throw a crown at you and call you a king.”
“Well, some of the others might want to be rulers too, right?”, He said as he looked to the others, to which they all looked at each other before surprising him as all of them shook their heads.
“We're more the following type than the leading type. Besides, all of us have helped Lord Meruem and Lord Cuu in getting the Empire to where it is so you won't be alone,” Paragus spoke up and I smiled as I saw the hesitance in his eyes.
“What would I even do as King? I mean, you took care of everybody, didn't you?”, He asked and I smirked before walking around and patting him on the shoulder.
“I did, but now that the fighting is over, you must begin with the restoration. You'll be the voice of the people, their guide and their symbol of justice.”
“You know, when you first came to turn my life upside down, I didn't expect that I wasn't signing up for politics,” He spoke with a huff and I chuckled before we looked to Bonyu as she spoke.
“No one knows whether they'd be the best fit until they are. Lord Cuu was not born a god and you were not born a king, but you both had and have the chance to become more. I think you should take it.”
“You, of all people?”, He asked with an amused look and I raised an eyebrow as she shrugged before Granolah looked to me.
“I'll have to think about it. This is a very big decision to make.”
“Hey, that's all I ask.”
“Ooh~ King Granolah has a nice ring to it!”, Panzy spoke excitedly as she popped out from behind me and I smirked as Granolah shook his head while Glorio picked her up by the back of her collar.
“You're not helping…though she does have a point,” The teen spoke as he carried Panzy back to where the two of them were having a tea party with Kibito and Granolah looked to Garana as the man spoke up.
“You'd probably look pretty majestic in a cape and the long hair.”
“Okay, I'm not wearing a damn cape,” He spoke, but I grinned as I saw the shared amusement in everyone's eyes.
“We'll see. To Supreme Kai Cuu, the Imperial Empire that will be reigning for decades and maybe, just maybe, King Granolah!”, Lemo spoke with a happy grin as he raised his cup and I smiled softly as everyone except for the grumbling Granolah raised theirs as well.
“…I can't believe I'm considering it,” He muttered and I chuckled as I patted his shoulder.
“Don't worry, you'll get used to it.”

“So, this is it?”, I asked as I stood on one of the many plateaus of the Sacred World of the Kais, staring at the object stabbed into the ground while Shin nodded.
“That is it, yes. The Z-Sword,” There was a sense of awe and reverence in the Kai's tone as I stared at the sword stabbed into the plateau, its blade still in impeccable condition despite it being nearly millions of years old at this time.
Wrapping a hand around its hilt, I hummed as I did a test pull and felt the heavy weight of the blade, making the plateau tremble a bit.
“Do not feel dismayed if you cannot remove it, Lord Cuu. Many Supreme Kai have tried to remove it and even the Grand Supreme Kai did not possess the power to wield it,” Kibito spoke up from where he was standing besides Shin and I hummed as I nodded.
“I think I can.”
“You truly beli-!”, Shin was cut off by my energy surging forward and making the planet tremble, both Glinds looking shocked as I raised an eyebrow and began to slowly pull the blade from the plateau.
“Huh, that was a lot easier than I was expecting,” I muttered as I pulled my energy back in, feeling the weight of the sword as I swung it from side to side with a frown to get used to it.
“H-How? Even the greatest Kais could not remove it from its prison,” I turned and was amused at Shin's wide eyes and Kibito's astonished looks before their eyes widened as I pulled a fist back and shattered the sword with a punch.
“Lord Cuu!”, Shin's voice was high-pitched as he flew forward and took the pieces from my hand, both him and Kibito looking at it in dismay as I chuckled while floating down.
“The blade is a prison, Shin,” I spoke, watching as they both turned to me before their eyes widened as the pieces began to fade away into strands of blue light that gathered into one form in front of me.
“That's why most couldn't pull it out because they were trying to get a weapon and not release the being inside,” I finished calmly, watching as the blue light finally faded away to reveal an elderly purple-skinned Glind with a small bit of white hair on his head and a small moustache on his face.
“Oh sweet Kais, that took forever!”, The Old Kai groaned as he stretched, making me smirk as I heard his bones audibly cracking while both Shin and Kibito just looked stunned.
“E-Elder Kai?!”, Shin asked and the Kai rolled his eyes as he looked at him.
“Yes, it's me. Who else would be sealed in that damn sword, the god of Laundry?! Do you little rascals have any idea how long I've been stuck in that stupid thing? I missed six whole galactic beauty pageants and at least two universal crises.”
“Oh, there were a lot more than that, Old Man,” I spoke, to which the Old Kai finally looked at me only for laughter to escape my lips as the Kai's eyes went wide and he fell backwards.
“M-Majin Buu!!”, He squealed and I raised an eyebrow before shaking my head.
“Not exactly. The name's Cuu, Old Kai. I'm the new Supreme Kai of Universe 7.”
“Impossible. You smell like a mortal and a demon mashed in with a whole lot of chaos,” He seemed to have forgotten about his shock and horror very quickly as he stood up to his feet and I smiled before nodding.
“…Did I wake up in a new reality while I was locked up or is the Omni-King just letting anyone wear the crown these days?”
“It's…complicated?”
“…Eh, it's not the strangest thing I've heard today, but it's definitely in the top five. Oh, wait what is the galactic year?”
“The 3 135 500 597 of the Royal Calender,” I answered and the Kai looked at me before looking up just as Towa descended.
“Oh, it's the Old Kai.”
“…I need a damn drink.”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“And after Lord Beerus promised to not kill Shin, he and Lord Whis went back home. There, you're all caught up,” I said with a smile as we all sat around the table again, Panzy tinkering with Glorio's weapon while the Old Kai finished his tea.
“I see. I get sealed away for a measly million years and everything goes to shit. Mortals become gods, demons play at being consorts and my supposed successor gave up his title while breaking sacred relics like they're cheap toys.”
“Technically, I am still a mortal. I just have divine title and divine ki now…along with immortality,” I replied with a shrug, smirking as the old Glind just groaned in defeat.
“Oh, great. We have a smartass rebel with too much power on his hands. Just what the universe needed.”
“Do not worry, Elder Kai. Lord Cuu may be a bit…unorthodox, but he has been a guiding light in restoring balance to the universe,” Shin cut in with a nervous smile and the Old Kai just looked at him before crossing his arms.
“You mean he's been playing space emperor with a mortal empire that he refuses to leave because he wants to make memories with his mortal friends.”
“Ufufufu~I like his sass,” Towa spoke as she stifled her giggles and I nodded as the ld man narrowed his eyes at us.
“Do not make me start with you demoness. Now, 'Lord Cuu', why did you break the sword and release me?”
“I need your help,” I kept my response quick and simple, making everyone but Towa look confused as the Kai frowned.
“With what? You've got the godly title, the mortal empire and possibly broke several divine laws while doing everything in between. What more do you want?”
“I want to rebuild the universe the right way and I don't mean just administrate it or watch from afar. I want to actually guide, teach, uplift and correct the mistakes that you all never acknowledge. However, despite the many memories I have, I need someone who has actually lived through the rise and fall of countless ages.”
“…You make me miss the days when the worst Supreme Kai decision was banning galactic karaoke night,” He grumbled and I shrugged before laughing as the corners of his mouth lifted upwards.
“Well, if the mess is already upside down, I might as well be the voice of reason in this chaotic mess.”
“Glad to have you on board. Now, I hear that you have the ability to unleash one's potential. Can you do that for me?”
“Wait, he can do that?,” Shin asked in surprise as he looked at the old Kai before I rolled my eyes as he snorted.
“You understand that your ki is absurdly potent and immense, right? It would take days for me to even get through it all and begin unlocking your very being.”
“I don't mind,” I answered with a shrug and the Kai looked at me before shaking his head as he stood up, placing his arms behind his back while patting his back with a hum.
“Come, I might as well give you payment for rescuing me,” He said and I grinned as Towa let go of my arm, quickly hopping to my feet and following after the Kai.
The others followed as we walked for a while before coming to an empty spot of grass, sitting down as the guy gestured for me to do so before I blinked as he began humming.
'Yep, the dancing is part of it, I guess,' I thought with a deadpan stare as I watched the Kai beginning to dance, looking at the others who looked just as bewildered as I did.
'…Well, at least it's a good thing,' I thought with a shrug as I closed my eyes, humming in tune with the Old Kai as my body began to relax.
'Hmm~ Hahahum~ Hahahum~ Hmm~'
“What are you doing?”
“Well, I-!”, I stopped talking as my mind registered the unfamiliar female voice, opening my eyes only to hiss as I got a full fist to the face.
“Ow~!” I was just as surprised about the punch as the Glind woman looked about being able to hit me.
“Why?!”, I exclaimed as the rather beautiful Glind lowered her fist, taking note of her blue-purple hair in a mohawk and the red Supreme Kai outfit she was wearing.
However, she didn't give me long to check out the rest of her beauty as she formed a ki blade on her hands before charging at me with a battle cry.
“You will die today, Majin Cuu!”
“What the hell?!”
A/N: And she's here~!! Waifu No. 2~!! I was going to let him make her into a new body, but then this weird idea struck me and I actually want to see if I can pull it off. Also, Granolah is King~!! More on that next chapter as well.
Anyway, next chapter: The Hot Supreme Kai and Unlimited Power~!!
As always, read, enjoy, review and until the next one…
Ba-Bye~!!

The thought process I have for this is a mess, but it's a chaotic mess that makes sense. Hopefully, by next chapter, I can make it make sense for you guys too.

Also, a thing to help deal with Mortal Matters, can't you just have Cuu free Meruem from himself like he did Dabura? I'd say Meruem had grown into his own person separate from Cuu, the original. Either way, I'm glad to see Western Supreme Kai, but isn't she still supposed to be dead? Hmm, or maybe the villain in the background is responsible for reviving her so she can act... 🤔
