The Monke King: Ch. 24

'Man, one wish and the planet looks completely different.' I thought with a smile as I floated high above the new Monke Kingdom, a name not chosen by me but by the hundreds of thousands of people that now call it home.

The skies that were once filled with ash and thick with the stench of blood were now a vibrant green and smelled fragrant thanks to the thousands upon thousands of flowers blooming on the outskirts of the kingdom.

Green lands stretched out as far as the eye can see and replaced the formerly bloody landscapes I had grown used to and as I looked down, I smiled at the hundreds of white auras flying alongside the hover-vehicles from one point of the kingdom to the other.

It's been three whole months since we returned from our little trip to the void of space and we have been doing nothing but our best to restore the planet to how it was.

The Monke Kingdom was not the only functional city as we had also established numerous villages and towns within eyesight that served as home to those that do not wish to live in or near the city or for those that wanted to get their own home.

That or they wanted to start a new family, which was another good thing as pregnancy numbers had skyrocketed the moment everyone finally settled down and the Saiyan hybrids finally got to restoring our race.

Also, I may have forgotten about the numerous other people that were not in the city when I had landed on Earth and transformed every sapient human on it into a Saiyan-hybrid.

Yeah, let's just say that some had the power go to their heads and showed why there would always be bad people in every timeline, resulting in me having to go around and make sure they stopped doing that.

I didn't kill them, mind you. I simply went and beat the shit out of them, like Dad did with Piccolo and every other person he was friends with. Now, every village and town has its own chief/ mayor that also defers to me as the final authority across the planet.

In other words…

'Life is good.' I thought with a smile as I floated above the city before frowning as I remembered the one thing I've been adamant about since arriving back on Earth.

Scouring the planet for Buu, Babidi and Dabura was far harder than I expected as it was hard to figure out just where the hell these guys were hiding considering how many rocky plains and deserts there were on the planet.

I know that the 25th World Tournament takes place on that Papaya Island, but I just can't figure out exactly in what direction the Z-Fighters had flown to get to it.

I've tried sensing for their energies, but it was a harsh struggle to find any energy near the areas I've searched, which probably meant that they felt me coming and suppressed their energies or I was looking in the wrong spots.

'Why do I feel like it's the former and not the latter?' I thought with a sigh before shaking my head when I landed, smiling and waving at the citizens of Monke Kingdom that waved happily.

“Hey, King Gohan! How's your day going?!”

“As good as it can. Make sure you keep a T-Rex steak for me, okay?!” I shouted to one of the butchers, who nodded with a chuckle before turning to a younger teen who walked up with a group of his friends.

“Hey, King Gohan!”

“Yo! You guys ditching school again?!” I asked with a grin even as I high-fived them all, grinning as they just gave sly grins before rushing off as their principal turned the corner with a frown.

“Hey, Ms. Liah! Right down there on 1st and 6th!” I said, watching as the older woman gave a thankful smile before shooting up high into the air and flying over the building after the kids.

Yeah, putting a Dragon Warrior as their principal was probably the best idea I had.

“Hey, Gohan!” Turning as I heard Yajirobe shouting, I raised an eyebrow as the chubby man landed in front of me with a stumble while heaving for air.

“Hey, Yaji. What's up?”

“Trunks…he's struggling with something…and said to come find you.”

'And on the day of his wedding, too. Looks like it's time for one of my inspirational speeches.'

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“I mean, like…Are we being too hasty? I mean, she's pregnant and I want to make sure my son grows up in a loving home, but I also don't want to force her to marry me, you know? What if she wants to wait?” I didn't say anything as I let Trunks pace around in the room, his suit jacket sitting on the bed and his tie hanging loosely around his neck.

“You not going to say anything?” Gramps asked, both him and Yajirobe dressed in their black suits as I looked at him with a smirk before shaking my head.

“No, just give him a couple more seconds to vent.”

“And what if she doesn't like the venue? She wanted a small wedding and I should have gone with that, but no~ I just had to make it a big spectacle.”

“And there's my cue.” With a grunt, I stood and walked over, grabbing him by both shoulders before he winced as I delivered a swift yet weak headbutt to his face.

“…What the hell was that for?!”

“Is your mind clear now?” I asked in turn and he went to shout only to blink as I grinned and let go of him.

“It…it is now.”

“Good, then this will go through. Stop worrying and grow a pair, okay? You proposed, she accepted and you two planned it for months. Your mom helped and during that time, she could have called it off, but she didn't. You wanna know why?”

“Why?”

“Because she's in love with you, okay? There is no other Trunks I know of that she fawns and gushes over in secret. There is no other Trunks she brags about to everyone that wants to listen. It's just you and just like her, I don't know any other Vomi that you would put your life down for. Do you?”

“Hah, no.” He muttered with a sigh and I nodded before wrapping an arm around him.

“Listen up, you two are fine with this and that's all that matters. Like the Saiyan warrior you are, stop worrying about everything and just ride the waves.”

“Just ride the waves. Right.” He nodded and I smiled as I patted his shoulder and walked to the doors while gesturing for the other guys to follow.

“Good. Now, put on that jacket, make up that tie and in ten minutes, I want you outside your room or I'm kicking your ass across the planet, understood?”

“You got it and Gohan…” He trailed off as I let everyone out and I just turned with a smile that he matched with a thankful one of his own.

“Thank you…for everything.”

“Hey, that's why I'm here. Making sure the world can function just one more day. Now, get ready.”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Since when are you a marriage officiant? Also, how the hell is your cape moving like that?” Bulma asked with a frown while in a form-fitting purple dress, matching the dark blue and black suits the guys are supposed to wear.

I just grinned as I adjusted the collar of my shirt while letting the red cloak clasped to my shoulder sway in the slight breeze behind me.

“For the first question, since two weeks ago. As for the second one…you'll never know.” I answered with a grin before looking Trunks who took deep breaths and exhaled slowly.

“Don't worry about this, sweetie. You're not the only nervous one here.”

“Yeah, Vomi was panicking this morning before we calmed her down.” Erasa spoke with a giggle as she stood in a violet dress, showing a bit of cleavage while the dress sat snug to her form.

“The pregnancy hormones didn't help.” Videl added, also in a violet dress that had a cleavage window in the middle of the chest and a slight slit up to her lower left calf.

“They did not.” Mom muttered, her violet dress a bit more conservative as she held a bouquet of purple roses like the rest of the bridemaids.

Before Trunks could panic even more, Yajirobe came to the doors with a thumbs-up, the rotund man quickly rushing up the stairs to the altar while I pointed to the organist who began playing on the instrument.

The moment Vomi and Cell walked through the doors, gasps echoed from the guests and I smirked as I saw Trunks' look of awe, turning to Cell who smiled amusedly in his black suit.

Vomi looked like an ethereal goddess as she walked besides her future brother-in-law, her white hair with its pink sheen mixing with the silvery tones of the white dress and coming together to form an otherworldly sight that shimmered under the sun.

Their eyes met and I smiled happily as I saw both blushing before Cell slowly let her make her way up the steps, Trunks turning to her as Cell walked to join the other groomsmen.

“Ladies and gentlemen, we gather here today to celebrate the union of Trunks and Vomi, one forged not just in love but in the understanding, trust and respect that the two have built together over time. Theirs is a journey that has only just begun, but promises to be one of laughter, adventure and undeniable support for one another.” The guests quieted down as I began speaking, Trunks not even looking at me as he stared at the blushing Vomi with nothing but love in his gaze.

“It was not even a year ago that Vomi came to us, alone and afraid, and it was at that same time that I believe the spark began. Sure, there were struggles at first and they most definitely did not want to be together, but I have found and I have witnessed that love truly comes when you least expect it.

Now, while I would normally do the traditional grandstanding and all, I'm sure our lovely couple would like nothing more than for this marriage to be official and I'm even more certain there's no one that objects to this wedding, yes?” I joked, chuckles echoing in the crowd while Vomi giggled at Trunks' glare at me.

“I kid, Trunks. I kid. Now, Trunks and Vomi, do you have vows to say to one another?”

“I do, yes.” Trunks nodded, surprising Vomi as he smiled and turned to her.

“Vomi, on the first day we met, I was a bit overprotective of Gohan and may have promised to make sure you never hurt him, but I realize now that promise was made by a boy who did not know what love was.

You've shown me that there is good in all people even when they've made mistakes or whether they're related to someone who's committed countless evil acts. You've shown me what it means to love without boundaries and I am happy to say that there is no one else I would ever want to spend the rest of my life with.

You are my heart and everything I do from now on, I do knowing that you stand besides me. I promise to protect you, to love you and to always find ways to make your day better even if it's just a little bit. I promise to stand by you in all that you face, to support you as my wife, as my partner and as the mother of our child. You are my home, Vomi, and I choose now and forever to care for that home with you.”

'…That was enough to make a grown man cry.' I thought as I stared proudly at my pupil, Bulma and Mom crying happy tears in the background while I rolled my eyes as I saw Gramps wiping away his tears using Yajirobe's hair.

“Well, I guess I don't have to ask this of Trunks. Vomi, do you take Trunks as your husband, to stand besides him through all of life's challenges, joys and changes? To build a life full of love and laughter? To honour him in love and devotion for as long as you both shall live?”

“With all of my heart.” She whispered, her tears still flowing as I smiled and nodded.

“By the power vested in me as a witness, your officiator and King of Planet Terra, I now pronounce you husband and wife. Trunks, you may kiss your bride.” There was a moment of stillness before the crowd cheered as Trunks leaned down to kiss her.

I just smiled as the two got lost in the kiss, letting the applause settle before taking a step back as the two newlyweds slowly pulled back.

Time to see how the reception is going to be.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Really loud~!!

I was sitting next to Trunks and Bulma next to me as we all sat at the table in front of the hall, watching how everyone was dancing and having the time of their life.

Even Cell had gone off to dance somewhere in the crowd, but seeing as how he was enjoying having a woman grinding on him from what I could see, I think that guy was also having a good time.

Surprisingly, though, Erasa was sitting next to Mom and I watched as the two chatted happily along with the standing Videl before turning to Trunks as he spoke to me.

“So, how long do you think the party is going to be?!” Trunks asked and I looked over the crowd before back at him with a smirk.

“You're going to be here all night, brother!!”

“Gohan!” Videl called out and I turned only to smile as she stood next to the DJ with a microphone in hand.

“It's time for the first speech!”

“Speech! Speech! Speech!”

“Alright, alright! I'll do it!” I spoke with a grin as I stood up, laughing at Trunks' groan and Bulma's giggles as I hopped down and walked through the crowd.

“Thank you.” I thanked Videl as I took the mic she held out to me before looking at the crowd.

“Well, firstly, hope everyone is enjoying this party as much as I am.”

“Whooo~!!” The crowd cheered and I smiled before turning to the glaring Trunks and the giggling Vomi.

“Trunks, you can wipe the glare off. I won't say anything about your early days that I took care of you.”

“You better!” He shouted with a grin and I rolled my eyes as the crowd laughed.

“Yeah, yeah. Honestly, there's not much to say about the guy. He's a dependable that I know I can trust with my life. He's a caring son that has done his best to make sure his mother lives her best life. He's almost like a brother in all but blood to me and now…he's a loving husband who will be there for Vomi and their child.

Vomi, firstly, welcome to the family!”

“Yeah!!” Gramps cheered, making me roll my eyes as Vomi giggled and smiled.

“Secondly, whether things go good or turn bad, whether you're having the best time of your life or the worst time of your life, I want you to promise me one thing, the both of you. Promise me that you'll be there for each other no matter what.

Promise me that your child will be one of the happiest children on this planet and I will do my best to make sure nothing ever happens to you or that child…Also, make me godfather. I want to hold that over Trunks' head.” I quickly added with a grin, laughing as Trunks glared with a huff while Vomi giggled.

'I'll think about it!”

“Hey, that's all I ask. To Vomi and Trunks, everyone!”

“To Vomi and Trunks!” The crowd cheered and I smiled as I downed my glass, hopping down from the stage while looking at the happy couple.

Yeah, this might be the start of something new for our planet and something new for us as a family.

A/N: And we end the chapter here, but the next one is going to start with…the smut~!!!

Something I'm not looking forward to and pushed back because I don't want to do it~!! Yay!!

Seriously, though, I couldn't do it this chapter because it is very weird to write it and not just read it.

I have gotten a guide one of the readers on QQ sent me and it's a pretty good one, which is why I want to focus to write this one.

Anyway, next chapter: Smut in the first half and Time Travelling begins~!!

As always, read, enjoy, review and until the next one…

Ba-Bye~!!

Comments

I don't think the Galactic Patrol exists here. Gohan did regrow his tail on Yardrat and Trunks didn't get his cut off, I believe. Also, Cell is stuck as Imperfect Cell, but I want to have Bulma start on figuring out a way to get him to his Perfect Form

Ethan

I forgot, did Trunks, and most importantly, Gohan, regrow their tails? Because I don't think it was mentioned. And is Cell stuck as Imperfect Cell, or did Bulma make it so he would form as Perfect Cell? Otherwise good chapter~ Soon will be the rise of the Terran Empire! ..wonder how Jaco and the Galactic Patrol feel about the revival of the saiyans? Then again, I dont think they exist here, do they?
