Devilish Gaming: Ch.32

“One-one!” The sound of grunting mixed with the others in the busy gym as Chad swung a quick one-two jab at the punching bag in front of him with his left. The old man behind it grinned as he felt the force from the punches rippling through it.

“Good! Again!”

“Oss! Oss!”

“Nice! One-three!” Throwing another quick jab with his left, Chad brought his right hand over and threw a cross, connecting with the bag and making the old man's grin widen.

“Good! Good! Again!” Chad nodded as he did the same combo, hopping from foot to foot as the man smiled at his progress.

“Finish it with a one-one-three-four!” The man shouted and Chad frowned as he lunged in, throwing a quick two jabs with his right hand before swinging the same fist in a hook at the bag.

Finishing it off with a cross, Chad hopped back before relaxing and taking deep breaths as the man nodded.

“Six hours and you're sweating only just now. Also, those combos you pulled earlier are not the things an amateur would do. You sure you've never done this before?” The man asked and Chad took off his new black gloves before shaking his head.

“No, I have not.” He answered as he wiped the sweat from his forehead, the old man humming as he studied the boy with a nod.

“Well, then you're one of those rare prodigies I've heard about. Think you're going to sign up for the matches later today?” The old man asked and Chad frowned before shaking his head.

“No, it wouldn't be fair.”

'Especially since I'm not sure if I can't hold back enough to not kill someone.' Chad thought with a mental smirk before chuckling as the old man shrugged.

“Eh, sure thing. Just remember where we are whenever you actually decide to do so.”

“Will do.” Chad nodded as he picked up his gymbag, throwing his towel and gloves into it before making his way past the afternoon crowd out the gym.

It has been two days since they came back from their mission to rescue Rukia and two days since he told Ichigo and the others of what the Substitute Shinigami badge truly is.

After that incident, he had seen his friend carrying Kon around more with him, who had also seemed to have calmed down somewhat even if he was still as perverted as ever.

He was still a bit hesitant to talk about the Gotei 13, but Chad had gone with him to Urahara yesterday and the two had managed to talk stuff out which the teenager had expected.

'After all, the guy has a hard time keeping a grudge.' He thought with a smirk before blinking as he heard his phone ringing, taking it out from his pocket before flipping it open.

“You've reached Chad.”

“Yo! We got about three different Hollows. Tatsuki and Hime are taking care of one and I'm taking another. You wanna take the last one?”

“Isn't Uryu supposed to?” He asked before shaking his head as he hard Ichigo sigh.

“Nah. After the Shinigami thing, he doesn't seem to want to hang out as much. I think he might, but just to be safe.”

“I'll be there in a few.” Chad spoke as he turned and walked into an alleyway. Adjusting his gym bag, he nodded with a smirk as Ichigo chuckled before the sound of roaring echoed over the phone.

“Hey, mine's here now. See you when you finish your side.”

“Same to you.” Chad answered before ending the call, crouching before he leapt into the air with a smirk.

Fullbring was activated within the blink of an eye as Bringer Light gathered at his feet, Chad hopping through the air at a blistering pace while taking out his coin necklace and putting it on.

'Guíame, abuelo (Guide me, grandpa.)' Chad thought with a smile as he kissed the coin, letting it drop right as he caught sight of the large Hollow slowly lumbering towards the outskirts of Karakura.

The giant centipede Hollow looked up as Chad slid down through the air, letting out a loud screech at the teen who frowned as he clenched his fist.

Crouching midair and jumping off of it, Chad sliced through the air like a bullet and slammed a fist through the Hollow's mask, a pained shriek escaping its lips.

It twisted and thrashed around, but Chad grunted as he caught its thrashing body before heaving and throwing it up high into the air.

The air around him grew malevolent as Diablo's Reiatsu began to flow into his fist, gathering in the form of sparking red energy right as Chad threw an uppercut towards the air.

Taking his phone out, he called Ichigo's number right as an explosion shook the air above him, looking up at the Hollow's vanishing body before paying attention as someone answered.

“Hey~ You've reached the number of Ichigo. What up?”

“Hey, Kon. Ichigo still busy?” Chad asked with an amused smile, chuckling as he heard Kon shouting in the background.

“Yo, Ichigo! Chad's calling to say you suck!”

“Getsuga Tensho!”

“Yeah, he'll be done in just a f-Urgh~ Hate that.”

“So, you're done?” Chad asked and Ichigo snorted before answering with an amused tone.

“Just did. You?”

“Same. Listen, I'm going to be hanging out with the X-Cution today. Want to come with?”

“Nah, I think I'm going to wait until I can talk to Rukia before I come with you.”

“Sure thing. See you tomorrow, then.”

“See ya, Chad.” Ichigo spoke and Chad smiled as Ichigo ended the call before scrunching his nose as he smelled a rather foul odor in the air. Lowering his nose to his armpits, Chad took a quick whiff before shuddering as the smell invaded his nostrils.

'First, a shower. Then we go to the HQ.'

“The prodigal son returns~!! He finally remembered about us!” Chad rolled his eyes at Kugo's mock-cheering, nodding at Giriko who nodded back before raising an arm to block the high kick at his head.

“Huh, not bad.” Jackie noted as she lowered her leg, Chad just smirking before nodding to Tsukishima and Yukio who were sitting in the back.

“I have been training while I've been away.”

“Training is an understatement. What kind of deadly shit do you guys do in the Soul Society?” Kugo asked with a raised eyebrow, to which Chad just smirked as he noted the stats above their heads.

Other than Tsukishima and Kugo who were both at Immense, Chad was surprised to see that he had surpassed Jackie in terms of Reiryoku Levels, but at the same time, he felt like the woman was still just a bit better than he was in terms of combat capability.

“Ha! Give us another month and we'll be able to kick her ass!” Chad rolled his eyes at his Inner Hollow before blinking as he heard fingers being snapped right in front of him.

“Yo, Chad? You home?” Moe asked with a raised eyebrow before the boy snorted as Chad smiled and nodded.

“Yeah, just having a mental discussion with my Hollow.”

“…With who?” Kugo asked as if he wanted to make sure he heard right and Chad blinked before remembering that the Fullbringers didn't have a Hollow like he did.

“Which is bullshit, by the way. If they had Hollows like me, I would have had a powerful army by the time I take you out and kill everyone else.”

“Right. During my time in the Soul Society, I found out that I had an Inner Hollow and that is why I can do this. Don't freak out.” Clawing his hand over his face, Chad was not surprised when everyone jumped back the moment the mask formed over his face.

“Chad, you still in there because I'm about to throw a Funnel.”

“Yeah, I'm still in here. The mask helps me to regulate and control the Hollow's power.”

“Ooh~ It's a pretty sweet mask too. Think I could get one?”

“They could if you find that Hogyoku thing again to awaken their Hollows. That or they have to eat the spiritual energy of a Gillian.”

'…You're kidding, right?' Chad asked before shaking his head as Diablo chuckled.

“I might be a bastard, but I'm an honest bastard.”

“According to Diablo, which is my Hollow's name, you guys have to eat all the spiritual energy of a Gillian if you want a mask.” Chad spoke as he dismissed his mask while sitting down. Kugo stared at the teenager before shaking his head as he turned Cross of Scaffold back into a necklace and sat down.

“Nah, I'm good.”

“Same here/ I will decline/ The same/ No need/ Nope, too much work.” The others answered and Chad just smiled before looking around with a furrowed brow.

“The place is quiet. Where's Riruka?” He asked and Kugo went to respond only for the doors to open and a familiar loud voice to speak up.

“Oi, who the hell forgot to tell me that the passcode was changed?! If I didn't bring my card with me, I'd be stuck outside right no-!” Riruka stopped in her tracks as Chad looked at her and the teen was just as surprised as he saw her walking in.

Dressed in her usual outfit, she also had a dark pink hoodie over it and Chad raised an eyebrow at the oval-shaped glasses she was wearing which the teen girl quickly took off with a blush.

“Don't you start!” She growled and Chad just raised his arms before grunting as she walked over and punched him in the chest. The blow barely had enough force behind it and Chad blinked as she gave him a hug afterwards.

“You ignored me during school.”

“I'm sorry. That was not my intention.” Chad spoke before smiling as she pulled back and crossed her arms with a huff.

“It came off that way. You're going to have to work your way up my list before I talk to you again.”

“You're talking to him no-Oh, shit!” Kugo quickly ducked and barely dodged the shoe thrown at him, deciding to keep his mouth silent along with everyone else as she turned to the rest of the room with a glare.

“Anyone else wanna say anything?”

“Please keep the throwing to a minimum, please.” Tsukishima spoke up and Chad was amused as he saw the man still reading despite the chaos before glancing at the stats above Riruka's head.

Chad was surprised to see that her Reiryoku levels had shot from High to Great and from what he could feel, it was nearing Giriko's levels while still being a fair bit from Jackie's.

“I see you guys have been training.” Chad began and everyone looked at him before Riruka snorted as Moe gave a smug smile.

“You can tell, eh?”

“Not as hard as you, though. You feel like a completely different person.” Riruka said with a smirk and Chad smiled as he opened his Status Screen to look at it.

The first change he had noticed was the fact that the Armadura Malévola del Guardián Demoníaco for his Brazo Derecha el Gigante and Brazo Izquierda del Diablo had vanished and the two skills added to his Hollow Skills.

The second was the fact that Boxing had completely maxed out, which he wasn't surprised about since Boxing felt like he just needed that bit of wisdom to help him achieve the next level.

Descorrer being maxed out was also not a surprise considering he had been jumping non-stop from the Hollow world to the Human Realm and back again over and over from his apartment, which might also be the reason why there are so many Hollows currently around Karakura.

'I might be the issue as to why we've been hunting Hollows non-stop these past couple of days.' Chad thought with a frown before shaking his head as he remembered that Riruka asked him a question.

“That might be because of his new Hollow.”

“…You're joking, right?” Riruka asked with a raised eyebrow before turning to Chad who smiled and demonstrated by bringing his mask out.

“Now he's using me like a showpiece when he wanted nothing to do with me. Oh, how the tables turn.” Chad just ignored Diablo's grumbling as he let Riruka touch his mask. Watching as she softly rubbed his mask, his enhanced and new Spiritual Sight let him watch how her spiritual energy wrapped tightly around her body.

How it softly caressed his face as it flowed from her hands to him, how it returned and wrapped around her cur-!

“Hahahahaha!”

'That was you, wasn't it?' Chad thought as he took a deep breath, cursing both the cackling Diablo and himself for doing so as Riruka's strawberry-scented spiritual energy entered his nostrils and made him undo the Hollowfication.

“Huh, not bad.” Riruka muttered as she pulled her hands back and Chad just nodded before both of them turned to Kugo as he spoke up with a grin.

“Oh, don't mind us. You two just keep doing what you're doing.”

“Want me to shoot you?” Riruka asked and Chad took a step back as she took some kind of heart-shaped object device with wing protrusions on both sides and a vial containing a dark pink liquid jutting out from his back.

Considering how Kugo paled slightly as well as how everyone just moved out of the way, it was probably a powerful object as Kugo raised his hands with a nervous smile.

“H-Hey, let's not be hasty here.”

“Tell me one reason why I shouldn't.” Riruka answered with a smirk and Kugo looked from side to side before Chad blinked as the door to the hideout opened.

'Strange, everyone's here so it must be a new mem-!' Chad froze as a tall and fair-skinned man with a lithe, muscular build and shaggy white hair that flared upwards walked into the hideout.

The others frowned at the sight before they all turned as Kugo looked at the man with wide eyes.

“…Jin?” Kugo whispered and everyone's eyes widened as they turned to Jin, who gave a mocking smile as he bowed.

“It is oh so wonderful to see you again, Kugo.” Despite the kind words, there was no hiding the sarcasm and mocking tone in Jin's words, which none of Xcution liked as they frowned while Riruka spoke up.

“Oh, you! Who the hell are you?”

“I see you've surrounded yourself with those that needed a bit of help to think on their own.” Jin spoke with an amused smirk, chuckling as Riruka gritted her teeth before Chad placed his hand on her shoulder to stop her.

“What do you want here?”

“Is a brother not allowed to visit his brother?”

“You had a decade to do that, Jin. What the hell do you want?” Kugo asked as he stood up, taking off his necklace and transforming it into the Cross of Scaffold as everyone else activated their abilities.

“If you must know, I am here to finally get the one thing that you owe me.”

“And that would be?” Kugo asked before frowning as he watched the wind beginning to gather around Jin as he snapped his fingers.

“Your soul.” He spoke and the next moment, Xcution were shocked as attacks came from all side and the room exploded.
