My Dad Is The Strongest?: Ch.15
Added 2025-04-04 17:28:08 +0000 UTC“S-Sorry for losing us the match.” Yuta apologized with a sheepish smile, Daichi grinning as he patted his shoulder while Shizuka shook her head with a smile.
“It's all good. We understood that you acted impulsively.”
“Still a stupid decision. If you had let it go, it would have been Hakari against Killua and then you against Killua had he been eliminated.” Maki cut in with a frown and Yuta just nodded as Toge and Panda gave each other amused looks.
“Cut him some slack, Maki. All things considered, he did pretty good for a first year who has only bee a sorcerer for a few months, didn't he?”
“…Hah, I suppose he did, but in tomorrow's individual battles, I expect you to win, understand?”
“R-Right!” Yuta nodded with a salute, the others amused as Maki nodded before they turned as Satoru entered the room with a grin.
“Hey, there's my team!”
“Shouldn't you be with your son and congratulating him for winning?” Shizuka asked and Satoru snorted as he shook his head.
“Nah, Killua doesn't need me to praise his every victory. Besides, I knew he would win so I had all the faith.”
“Thanks for the vote of confidence.” Daichi spoke with a deadpan stare and Satoru just gave a thumbs-up as he sat down in a chair. Looking at his students, he raised an eyebrow when he saw them looking at him with expectant gazes.
“What? I got something on my face?”
“No, we were hoping you would tell us just when you were going to tell us you had a kid.”
“Oh, probably never. I'm not one that worries about everyone knowing.”
“We can see that. Well, can you at least give us information about him? Like his technique or what he's got?”
“Nope.” He answered bluntly, smiling amusedly at their shocked faces before turning as he heard a jacket ruffling.
“Nice, sensei.”
“Hakari, you might face off against him. Don't you want to at least have some info?” Maki asked with a raised eyebrow at the second year, who snorted as the black-haired, starry-eyed feminine person besides him just looked amused while adjusting their off-shoulder crop-top.
“Nope. Knowing what they're capable of beforehand would ruin the fever I'd get from our fight.”
“Of course, you're worried about that. Actually, why did you even agree to take part in the event? Didn't you say last year that you hate to take part in events made by the school?” Shizuka asked with a raised eyebrow, surprising the first years before Yuta squeaked as Hakari patted the first year's back with a grin.
“Because Yuta was taking part and I want to see how hot his fever goes. If I had known we'd be able to spectate from the get-go, I wouldn't have even thought to join, but now I'm glad I did. Oh, I can't wait for tomorrow.”
“Speaking of tomorrow, here's the list for the fights.”
“You could have led with that, you know?/ Salmon./ What she said.” Maki, Toge and Panda spoke with sighs while Satoru just gave a sly grin as he took out the pamphlet from his shirt and put it down on the table.
Looking over the names, the eyes of the feminine person besides Hakari widened and they turned to the person in question who had an ecstatic grin on his face as he saw his matchup.
“Oh, tomorrow's going to be awesome.”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'Momo vs Shizuka, Noritoshi vs Daichi, Todo vs Yuta and then…of course it's Hakari and me.' Killua thought with a hum as he sat in the cafeteria, the others slowly reading through the match-ups before Mai looked at him with a smirk.
“You sure you can take Hakari? I know you're a Special Grade, but the guy is pretty strong.”
“Why? You worried that I might get hurt?” Killua teased with a grin before laughing as Mai rolled her eyes. He then continued eating his chocolate before turning to Mechamaru as the puppet spoke up.
“You seem quite certain of your victory against Kinji Hakari.”
“I am.” Killua nodded, making Mai raise an eyebrow as Miwa blinked at the quick response.
“You…you actually think you can beat him?”
“I can. Dad let it slip once that Hakari's technique is based somewhat on luck and something else, but I think I can if I take him seriously from the start.”
“With your technique?” Mai asked and Killua gave a cryptic smirk as he remembered his trump card.
“Nope, let's just say I got a bit of luck of my own. Anyway, what do you guys think of the other match-ups?”
“Momo against Shizuka and Noritoshi against Daichi would be fun fights to see, but the Todo against Yuta fight is the one I want to see the most, especially since Yuta is one of the few Special Grades around.” Mai spoke up, Miwa nodding in agreement as Mechamaru hummed.
“Your battle against Hakari would be quite entertaining if you decide to take him serious. The Todo and Yuta fight on the other hand is the one I feel would be the closest.”
“I feel the same. Todo's technique is pretty good, but there has to be a reason Yuta was given that Special Grade ranking despite his timid behaviour.” Miwa muttered and Killua just hummed before the Kyoto students looked at him as he stood up.
“Where are you going?” Mai asked as she stood up only to blink as he raised a hand to stop her while an amused smirk grew across his face.
“No need to follow. I'm just getting some fresh air.”
“You're going to bother the others, aren't you?” She asked with a frown, shaking her head while Miwa giggled as he just smirked before walking towards the door.
'If Yuta is the cursed child that Dad spoke of, then Hakari is most likely the lucky bastard that won't die. His technique must revolve around luck that causes him to be immortal? Hmm, maybe a Domain Expansion, then. Hah, I guess with what little information I got, that's all I'm going to get. Unless…' Killua stopped outside the cafeteria before smirking as he looked to the section of the school where the Tokyo students were.
Nobody said that they weren't allowed to spy on each other in between the matches and since the finals are only tomorrow…
'Time to see if I can still shadow someone.'
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Man, this is a really tense thing, huh?” Momo muttered as she stood at the door that led out to the different fighting areas, feeling the nerves settling in as the timer ticked down.
Noritoshi was of the same mind even if he didn't say it out loud as he took deep slow breaths, Todo stretching his body with a stoic hum while Killua just tapped his foot against the wooden flooring.
“What is the rules of this one again?” Killua asked, wanting to make sure he remembered them right even though he knew he did.
It was just his paranoia as a former assassin to make sure that the information was accurate to the 0.1%.
“We are to follow the pathways that have our names to the different sectors of the Tokyo Jujutsu High' premises. There, we will meet our foe and battle will start immediately. Once it starts, you are to beat your foe and then move on to help your teammates. The time limit is 30 minutes and the team with the most members still fighting after the limit ends is the winner.”
“Got it. I have to ask, though. Think you guys would be able to finish your fights easily?”
“I'd struggle a bit./ I would do well not to underestimate my foe./ Do not worry for my safety, brother. I will make sure to rush to your side should you desire my help.” Momo, Noritoshi and Todo said respectively, with Killua looking at the tall muscular guy giving him a grin before shaking his head as the last ten seconds began to count down.
10…9…
“Forget what I said. Good luck to you guys.”
8…7…
“The same to you. May we do well and showcase the pride of our clans as heirs.”
6…5…
“Don't you mean as Kyoto Jujutsu High students?” Momo asked with a raised eyebrow and Killua snorted as Noritoshi gave an apologetic nod.
4…3…
“Don't worry, Momo. If I finish my fight early, I'll come help you out.” Killua spoke and Momo rolled her eyes as she hopped onto her broom.
2…1…
“Let's just get this over with because I still want to rewatch Captain America: Civil War.”
“For Bucky?” Killua asked before laughing as Momo blushed before the doors snapped open.
“GO!” In the blink of an eye, Todo, Noritoshi and Killua shot down the pathway, Killua at the front as each step took him further down the hall before he caught sight of four signs leading down different paths into the large forest.
'Far left!' Twisting to that direction, his next step accelerated him even further and a thin blue current of electricity sparked around his body as he grinned.
The ground cracked under him as he accelerated, picking up speed with each step and covering the distance to the fighting area within under a minute.
However, as he came to a sliding stop near the area, he quickly leapt into the air with a spin right as a pair of boots barely missed hitting his head. Landing with a grunt, Killua grinned as Hakari turned around with an excited smile.
What made the boy grinned was the sheer quantity of cursed energy Hakari was exuding while looking at him. It felt endless and far beyond that of both Yuta's and his father's, the electricity around his body intensifying as he smirked.
'Not bad.'
“Not bad there, Killua! Not bad at all!” Hakari exclaimed with a grin as he threw his jacket to the side, Killua doing the same with his own jacket as both fighters were left in white tanktops and the pants of their sorcerer uniform.
“What's with the cursed energy? That your lucky technique?” Killua probed, readying himself as Hakari walked to him while rolling his shoulder with a grin.
“Why don't you try and find out?” Hakari said as he crouched before shooting forward, Killua's mind immediately slowing everything down as he awaited the first blow.
Reaching forward as Hakari swung down with a wide right hook, Killua grabbed the arm before slipping under it, lashing out with a back heel to Hakari's jaw before spinning around and slamming a palm strike into his side.
Hakari's eyes widened and Killua watched as Hakari wheezed at the attack to his side before raising an eyebrow as the teen grinned before spinning to him with a low kick.
Leaping over it with a corkscrew whilst delivering a heel drop to his right shoulder at the same time, Killua grunted as the blow connected and forced Hakari into a spin.
His eyes narrowed as Hakari's leg came around with the spin before raising his arms to block the heavy strike to them. He grunted as he felt the blow digging into his skin before pushing off the ground and leaping backwards.
Looking down at his arms, he frowned slightly at the shallow nicks on them before activating his Reversed Cursed Technique, letting the wounds heal while watching as Hakari's bruises faded away at the same time.
'So, his cursed energy adds a slight cutting effect to each blow like how mine shocks anyone I hit. That and his technique seems to also make him capable of healing himself, but with his cursed energy reserves as they are now, there's no doubt in my mind that he will most definitely heal himself for longer than I can hurt him.'
“Well, I was hoping to keep this one in the arsenal until I needed it, but I guess now is the time.” Killua muttered, drawing Hakari's attention as he watched the electricity around Killua's body intensity.
“Cursed Technique Amplification: Maximum Output- Godlike Speed.” One moment, Hakari's grin widened as he saw the electricity leaping from Killua's body in the form of dense bolts as the boy stared at him with a smirk.
The next, his eyes widened when a fist crashed into his stomach, Killua dashing past him and spinning around before lunging back with a double stomp into the teen's back.
He was not surprised to watch Hakari bounce off the ground from the impact while watching as the wounds faded away within seconds, Hakari's eyes snapping back into focus with an excited cackle as he flipped over and dashed at the boy.
Killua didn't falter as he met his charge with one of his own, Hakari pulling his fist back while the boy pulled his palm that was crackling with electricity before they clashed.
A shockwave rippled from their impact and sent dust and leaves flying, with Killua twisting his body away from the punch before aiming a lightning-fast knife hand at his side.
The blow landed, but only made blood spurt from Hakari's lips as he stood still while spinning and lashing out with a knee aimed at his chest. Killua barely leaned below the attack before vanishing with a burst of electricity, reappearing behind Hakari with a palm already striking his back.
The impact landed with the sound of thunder booming, but Hakari was barely staggered by the blow, whipping around with a wild grin as his cursed energy surged.
“Ha! That tickled!” Hakari exclaimed and Killua frowned as he heard a faint ringing noise filling the air as if something had just been activated.
'A Domain? No, something else.' Quickly snapping out of his thoughts, Killua ducked under the fist trying to take his head off, spinning out from under it before Hakari raised an arm to block the heel kick to his head.
His silver hair stood on end as the electricity around his body intensified to its limit, his cursed energy surging as he leapt up with a spin and delivered around kick that Hakari blocked only to click his tongue as Killua leapt away.
“Come on~ My fever is getting brighter and I need to keep it going!” Hakari shouted with a gleeful grin and Killua just stared at him before smirking as he felt Hakari's energy beginning to fluctuate.
'I see. So, it is his technique, then. Perhaps a probability-based technique where he can get a myriad of boosts depending on what he gets, but what type of gambling are we talking here?'
“Ah, looks like the song is ending.” Hakari muttered and Killua frowned as he finally managed to hear the irritating sound that has been in the background since they started fighting.
'Is…Is that…music?' Killua thought with an incredulous stare as the music faded away before his eyes widened as Hakari held his hands in front of his chest and parallel to the ground with an excited grin.
The left hand was on the bottom with his thumb curled in and the other fingers straightened out and the right hand above the left hand with the middle, ring and pinky fingers straightened out while his index finger and thumb were making an O-shape.
“Domain Expansion: Idle Death Gamble!” In the blink of an eye, the forest around them vanished and Killua blinked at the numerous train doors that surrounded them, turning to Hakari as the guy tore off his shirt before spreading his arms wide with a grin.
“Let's hit the Jackpot!” He shouted and Killua's eyes widened as information rushed into his head, feeling every rule of Hakari's domain being taught to his mind before he snapped back right as a golden train door and a red train door appeared besides Hakari and opened to show the first two numbers.
'Yuki, 7. Yuki, 7. Crap!' The boy cursed as he rushed towards Hakari, who quickly leapt back to dodge the heel drop at his head while creating a red ball that he kicked at Killua.
The boy quickly slipped under the ball before continuing his attack, to which Hakari grinned as he dropped another red train door that opened and revealed the final number.
'Yuki, 7. Crap!'
“Riichi.” Quickly accelerating as the white void around them vanished to that of a black-haired guy rushing through a train station to get through the gate on time.
Hakari just took a deep breath before rushing towards Killua, blocking the kick at his head with a frown before leaning back instead of tanking the blow like the boy expected.
'Crap! Faster!' Killua thought as he accelerated, delivering a flurry of knife strikes to Hakari's body before lashing out with a final claw palm strike to the teen's chest that sent out a shockwave out from his back.
“Jackpot~~!!” However, the excited shout of a female's voice made him curse as he leapt back, watching as Hakari fell forward before flipping forward with a happy shout as the familiar music from before echoed in the air.
“Whooowee~!! Let's get this party started!!” Hakari exclaimed with a grin and Killua sighed as he saw the teen holding up the devil horns with both hands.
'Well, I guess it's another four minutes of this…not!'
“So, you got four minutes and eleven seconds before the immortality ends, right?” Killua muttered, to which Hakari just grinned before the teen grew ecstatic as electricity shot up in a pillar around the boy.
“Turn the volume up, 'cause this is a funeral for the living! Domain Expansion!” Killua's words made Hakari nearly orgasmic as a pillar of lightning shot up and latched onto Hakari's domain.
The boy grinned as he held his hands at chest level with his right index and middle fingers pointed upwards, his right finger and pink fingers bent towards the palms while his thumb was extended outwards. His left thumb, index and middle fingers were held together with the ring and pinky fingers curled inwards and the palm pointed towards the palm to let the two hands form a triangle that was sparking with electricity.
“Throne of the Thunder God.”
A/N: I have to first say apologies for the late upload, but not only is it hard to make a new domain hand sign, but Hakari's domain is so goddamn hard to understand for my little brain.
Like, I was struggling to figure out just how it works 'cause I was surfing through the wiki and the reddit communities to figure out just how it works exactly.
So, if something is wrong or there are some changes to it, I'm sorry, but it's going to take me a while before I can figure it out.
Anyway, Killua has shown his Maximum Output and his Domain, which leaves only his Maximum Technique~ which he has already been planning.
Next chapter: Domain and…Cursed Technique Reversal?!
As always, read, enjoy, review and until the next one…
Ba-Bye~!!

Thanks. I'm trying to make him still the confident yet cocky assassin with just a bit of ego to make him a bit different from his canon personality in HxH.

2025-04-04 18:27:02 +0000 UTCYeah, I knew Hakari was an immortal demon, but after reading a bit more in-depth on his technique, the bastard really is one lucky guy.

2025-04-04 18:23:00 +0000 UTCHakaris technique is known for being annoying/difficult to understand lol. Don’t worry about it too much. Killua is pulling out some serious techniques here. Hakari at the end of the day is kinda unstoppable once he hits a jackpot unless you destroy his head/cut him in half. Killua can do those things if he wants but this isn’t some fight to death, it’s a school competition. Interested to see how he knocks him out then since he can’t go for the kill.
