My Dad Is The Strongest?: Ch.14

“Excited to see him fight? No. Excited to see the one-sided slaughter that's about to happen? Definitely.”
“My, my~ You are that confident your son will win?” Mei Mei asked with an amused smile from where she was seated, the Kyoto and Tokyo students a bit surprised at Satoru's words as the Strongest nodded while crossing his arms.
“Daichi and Shizuka, while skilled for their age, are only grade 2 sorcerers. Yuta is a fellow Special Grade, but Killua just progresses far faster than he does. Honestly, the only one I see him struggling with is Hakari and that's purely because of his technique.”
“His technique is based on luck, correct?” Utahime and Satoru made a so-so gesture as he leaned back in his chair.
“It is based on luck, but I'm not allowed to explain the deeper mechanics of it unless he does. Student-teacher confidentiality and all that.” He spoke with a smirk and snickered as Utahime just rolled her eyes.
“Of course. Well, he's going to have tough time going up against Killua, especially since he's busy training non-stop since he arrived at Kyoto.”
“Oh? Did he learn a few new tricks?” Gintoki asked and smiled as Utahime just smiled and nodded.
“Amongst other things.”
“Good. Then this will be an interesting time for them all. Mei Mei, are they watching?”
“Are who watching?” Mei Mei asked, but Satoru just smirked at her amused gaze before nodding.
“Make sure they see every detail and witness what happens to anyone that wants to hurt Killua after today. Also…I bet 100 million on Killua winning this whole thing.”
“Must you waste your money like that?” Kanade muttered with a sigh and Gintoki laughed as Satoru snorted.
“It's in my nature. Now, let's watch my son win.”

“To think that idiot actually has a son. I guess we just now have to see if pigs can fly.” A young teenage girl with her hair in a bun spoke with a smirk as she rested her head on her left palm, staring at the projections as she crossed her legs while tapping a finger against her chair.
“I'm more focused on wanting to see what his son is capable of. From the looks of it, he doesn't have the heriditary technique of the Gojo Clan and he's a Special Grade according to the whispers of the Kyoto students.” The large, moving panda plushie seated to the right of the girl spoke and she hummed while glancing at the group.
More specifically, she was looking at her younger twin who noticed her gaze before she blinked as Mai gave her a smug smile and looked forward
“Huh, was expecting her to just give you the finger and look away. Guess she's getting around to treating you familiarly again, eh Maki?”
“Salmon.” The white-haired teenager on the other side of Panda spoke and Maki just hummed before turning her gaze back to the screen.
“I'll worry about that another time. For today, let's cheer Yuta on and make sure he brings the win for us.”
“It's going to be a hard fight, though. Not just for him but for Hakari too considering considering they have Todo, Noritoshi and now Satoru's son to worry about.” Panda spoke with a hum and Maki frowned as she nodded in agreement.
“That's true…but we can't do much from here. Let's at least contribute in some way.”
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“You sure you don't want to go talk to her?” Miwa asked as she saw Mai's twin looking away and shook her head as Mai snorted while crossing her arms.
“Not in the slightest. If she wants to come talk, then she can come talk. Besides, Killua is in my corner for the whole sorcerer thing and believes the same.”
“I expected otherwise.” Mechamaru chimed in and Mai smirked as she looked to the projection where the two teams were warming up while the two principals of the Jujutsu High schools stood in front of them.
“One thing you guys will learn about Kil is that he doesn't care about doing the morally right thing, only the thing that is right for us.”
“That is true. He may be young, but he is quite egotistical and for a good reason. After all, not many have been classified as a Special Grade since birth.”
“Don't worry. I'm sure Killua won't let his pride cloud his mind.” Miwa spoke with a smile and Mai snorted as she shook her head.
“Oh, if he does that, the match is all but won.”
'After all… ' She thought with a smirk as she turned back to the screens, ignoring the confused look of Miwa and the intrigued hum from Mechamaru as she watched the two teams stare each other down.
'It's just like the stories I've heard of Satoru Gojo. Once that pride kicks in, it becomes less of a match and more of a one-sided massacre.'
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Today, we are playing…Sorcerer Dodgeball!”
“What?” Killua raised an eyebrow at the announcement before humming as he saw everyone not looking surprised at it, remembering that the strong of the world don't usually do things by the rule.
“Yes, we are playing dodgeball, but with a sorcerer's twist. The normal rules apply, but cursed energy reinforcement and cursed technique usage is allowed. One member is allowed to move in and out of the court five times before they are disqualified and the entire body counts as a target with our new point system.”
“So, this is not just being decided on who won the most rounds, then?” Daichi asked and Principal Gakuganji hummed as he stroked his beard while nodding.
“Indeed, it is not. Points are valued at one point for the limbs, two for the abdomen, three for the chest or back and five for the head and/ or neck. A round won is five points and if you bring a teammate back in, it's one point for your team and the opposing team loses ten points.”
'So, even if we're behind by ten points, as long as I catch a ball, it could still end in a draw or a win. Huh, kind of reminds me of the dodgeball game we had with Razer.'
“One last rule is that Special Grade Sorcerers are not allowed to throw and/ or touch the ball unless all of their teammates have been eliminated and yes, that includes the teammate that can go in and out. If a Special Grade touches the ball in any way before that time, they are immediately eliminated and the opposing team gets twenty points.”
“Well, there goes our strategy.” Momo muttered as she looked to Killua, who groaned as he just turned and began walking to the back middle of his team's area.
“The team to first win two out of three rounds, wins. Winning a round counts as one win and if your team wins by points in that same round, it counts as another win! Therefore, you need to make sure your team wins one of the rounds or the other! Now, teams prepare and…begin the moment the balls are placed.”
“Todo, you're on the in-and-out movement. Momo, I'll take left and you take right.”
“Got it.”
“Killua?”
“Dodge and evade.” Killua spoke with a thumbs-up, to which Noritoshi nodded before he quickly spun around as the air whistled.
Staring at the ball flying at his head, he quickly ducked out of the way as Momo let out a wind blast, sending the ball airborne and giving Todo the opportunity to catch it with a smirk.
“Shizuka is out! Plus 1 point for Kyoto and minus ten for Tokyo”
“What was that for?” Momo asked with a frown and the 3rd Year giggled before giving a shameless shrug.
“I read between the lines that said we are allowed to begin when the balls are placed and there was a ball placed.” She said as she walked to the outside boundaries, to which the Kyoto students looked at their principal who gave a slow nod.
“She is correct in her analogy.”
'I see. So, this will require more than just tactical thinking and technique.' Noritoshi thought with a frown as he watched Principal Yaga's cursed puppets put down the other four balls.
The moment the puppets were gone, Momo swung her broom and moved all four balls to them, Daichi frowning as Yuta looked a bit nervous while Hakari threw his jacket to the side with an excited grin.
'Blood Manipulation: Flowing Red Scale!' Noritoshi opened one eye as he caught a ball in each hand, a bit of blood dripping from his hands and attaching themselves to the ball before he threw both forward.
Todo on the other hand threw the first ball he caught upwards before doing the same with the second and third balls Momo got to him, leaping into the air with a spin before lashing out and kicking each one as hard as he could.
The balls whistled as they shot past Noritoshi's and went directly at Yuta, whose eyes widened slightly before he frowned and quickly rolled forward to dodge the balls.
'Still Calm.' Shizuka held a hand up and Todo grinned as all three balls froze midair behind Yuta, who quickly moved to the side as they fell to the ground.
Daichi was quick to rush in from the side and switch places with the 1st Year as he picked all three balls before throwing two of them at Momo and another at Killua.
The witch's eyes widened as she hopped onto her broom and flew into the air with a burst of speed, Hakari grinning as he watch her go airborne before lunging in while reaching out to catch both of Noritoshi's balls.
However, he was a bit surprised when the balls stopped abruptly and flew upwards, shifting his dive into a roll right as the balls crashed into the ground.
“Oi, Daichi! Get ready!” Hakari shouted as he dodged backwards to evade Noritoshi's ball shooting at him before kicking the other at Daichi, who reached up and grunted when it impacted his palm.
'Solid Ground!' He growled and his body was covered in a thick layer of cursed energy as he steadied himself, nullifying the impact and gripping it tightly when it tried to fly away.
“Kamo is eliminated! Plus one to Tokyo and minus ten to Kyoto! Shizuka is back in!”
'And we're both in the negatives. Damn, that went bad quickly.' Killua thought with a hum as he moved around Daichi's throw, ducking under another throw from Daichi before leaping into the air with a corkscrew when Shizuka tried to aim a strike from below.
However, the ball froze when he jumped and he quickly readjusted himself air to fall past it, landing with a flare and flipping away as she cancelled her technique and tried to catch him with the falling ball.
“Got it!” Momo grunted as she flew past him, Killua watching as she rose up high into the air before throwing the ball away and leaping into the air with a backflip.
As she slowly brought her leg over, a clap echoed in the air and Todo grunted as he kicked the ball as hard as he could, Momo falling with a slight stumble and smirking as she watched Todo's ball connect with Daichi's stomach.
The guy wheezed and dropped the ball he was about to throw as he fell to the floor, Yuta quickly jumping and catching it only to freeze as Shizuka and Hakari groaned.
“Daichi is hit in the abdomen and Special Grade Yuta interacts with the ball! Both are eliminated and 22 points to Kyoto!”
“Nice, Todo!” Killua shouted and Todo grinned as he gave a thumbs-up before the white-haired boy's eyes widened at the ball slamming into the guy's head.
The blow wasn't enough to knock him off of his feet, but he did stumble as the impact had hit his ear and Noritoshi sighed as Hakari did a little shoulder-shimmy.
“Todo is hit in the head! 5 Points for Tokyo!”
“Of course he got distracted.” Momo muttered with a sigh as she floated in the air, Killua now focused as the two of Kyoto watched Hakari hopping from foot to foot while Shizuka held one with a smirk.
“Come on, Momo! We both know Killua can't come down to pick up the balls for you!” Killua just smirked at that before he stretched his body, to which Shizuka looked back at him while Hakari grinned as he felt the shift in the air.
Raising his leg, Killua grunted as he stomped down onto the wooden flooring as hard as he could and Shizuka's eyes widened as the ground cratered, the shockwave knocking the balls into the air and making Momo grin as she quickly swung her broom and let out a burst of wind.
“Wait, he should be out, right?!” Shizuka exclaimed as she quickly held up her hand, freezing the balls on place only for her eyes to widen as Todo swapped with a ball and kicked another right at her.
The ball connected with her chest and sent her skidding back as Todo reappeared back in his place when he swapped back with the ball, Hakari quickly dodging the other balls as Yaga spoke.
“Shizuka is hit in the chest! Plus three points for Kyoto! Also, we specified that Killua had to touch the ball for it to count, but he did not and therefore, his moves count.”
'Oh, I love learning more and more about this match.' The boy thought with a smirk as Momo landed besides him, Hakari humming as Yuta helped Shizuka off the field before moving.
The first ball he threw to the side before throwing another right after it, kicking up the third and fourth ball before throwing them at the opposite wall at random angles while picking up the last ball.
Killua frowned at the random abrupt movement as he dodged around the first four balls before his eyes widened at the fifth slowly approaching him, ducking back and barely dodging it only for his eyes to widen as he watched a ball coming at him from above.
However, two claps echoed in the air as Killua found himself floating in the air outside the battleground for a split second before finding himself back in the arena and besides Momo right as a ball hit the back of her head.
“Momo is hit in the back of the head! Plus five points for Tokyo!”
'Good thing we got Todo on the outside, but he's quick.' Killua thought with a smirk as he noticed the ball in Todo's hand before turning to Hakari, who looked excited as the balls fell to the floor around the Gojo Clan's heir.
“So, it's just us two, huh? I guess fate really wants my 'fever' to run hot!” Hakari spoke with an excited grin, which confused Killua even as he was finally able to pick up one of the ball.
'Speed of Lightning.' With a thought, Killua smiled at the familiar feeling of electricity coursing through his nervous system, calculations flowing into his mind as he quickly threw up all five balls into the air before kicking the first one right at Hakari.
The teen's eyes widened and his grin grew as he quickly shifted to the side, watching the ball fly past only for it to bounce off the wall right as Killua kicked another one.
The two balls ricochet off of each other and one nearly hit Hakari had he not lean back, watching the ball sail over his head only to watch as both bounced off the walls.
However, Killua was not done as he kicked a third against one of the walls to the side, everyone watching as it rapidly bounced off of the walls before hitting the second ball up to the ceiling.
The young boy grunted as he leapt into the air and finally kicked the last ball with a heel kick, which flew through the air with a curve before Hakari realized what was going on and quickly ran to the far edge of the ball.
With a grunt, he stopped and did a backflip right as the curving ball ricochet off the first one, hitting the second dropping from the ceiling and bouncing off of the third and fourth before finally flying at a blistering pace towards Hakari.
The teen tucked himself in as best as he could and watched the ball sail past, but he grunted and let out a disappointed sigh as that ball was just a distraction when the one from the ceiling fell down and tap his hand.
'Damn, that was almost too close.' Killua thought with a frown as he saw Hakari standing up, noting how the guy was still smirking even as the ball just barely managed to tap his fingertip.
If he was off by just one centimeter or if Hakari had gone too early or too late by a millisecond, the entire thing would have been for waste and the guy would have simply caught the last ball, eliminating Killua and taking this to a 3rd round.
'Guess the luck of the draw was with me today.'
"Killua hits Hakari on his finger! One point! All of Tokyo's students have been eliminated Kyoto wins the first round! Score is 17 to 1! Kyoto takes the second round and have two out of three wins! Therefore, Kyoto wins Day 1 of the Goodwill Event!”
A/N: And we end off the chapter~!! A bit of showcasing of everyone's techniques and stuff, but not enough as I wanted them all to actually show what they got on the last day.
As you guys can see, Daichi is a counter for Kamo's Piercing Blood(somewhat) and his other techniques while Shizuka is a counter for Momo's wind-based attacks.
How? You guys will have to find out.
Next chapter: Day 2 and Throwing hands.
As always, read enjoy, review and until the next one…
