26)Foxy Adventures: Ch.26

'Urgh, what…was that?' Kakashi's mind was in shambles as he felt the pain from Itachi's continuous genjutsu fading away, surprised to feel the hell ending after having been trapped in there for an entire three days.

'W-Was it even three days? I…I can't tell anymore.'

“-you stop that?”

“Come on~ It's sensei. You telling me you're not relieved.”

“I am, but we're still in a hospital so shush!”

'Yeah, I'm definitely waking up. Why else would I hear Sakura and Naruto arguing like an old married couple?' Kakashi thought with a burst of amusement as his eyes slowly fluttered open before wincing at the bright light.

“Honestly, you're supposed to be one of the strongest in the Leaf and you lost to a few rogue shinobi?” That voice he could never forget as the light faded from his vision and revealed the three surrounding the hospital bed he was in.

Looking to Sakura's happy smile and Tsunade's amused one, Kakashi turned his eyes and shook his head as Naruto gave him a grin.

“Welcome back to the world of the conscious, sensei. How was your time away?”

“Quite fun. I didn't have to deal with loud people.” Kakashi spoke with a smirk as he laid back down, chuckling at Naruto's grumble and Sakura's giggles.

“How long?”

“Around four days. We would have gotten here sooner if not for Orochimaru and his friends attacking us.” Naruto answered and Kakashi looked at Tsunade who nodded.

“Him and a rogue shinobi we thought to be dead.”

“I see. Then I assume you were the one who healed me, Lady Tsunade?” Kakashi asked and nodded as Tsunade snorted while crossing her arms.

“I did, but I have to admit that the level of genjutsu that was used on you is a bit complex. The Sharingan's ability to cast genjutsu has grown quite powerful since the time I've been away.”

“It's a confidential matter.” Naruto raised an eyebrow at Kakashi's words before humming as he saw the man's eyes flicker to Sakura and Tsunade hummed before looking to her fellow blonde.

“Okay, that's one out of three. Where's the second one?”

“Ah, right. Sasuke's just down the hall. We'll come back later, sensei!” Naruto waved as he stood up and spun towards the door, Kakashi's eyes widening as he finally saw the three-pronged kunai at his hip.

Looking up at the eyes of his former genin student, the jounin couldn't help his chuckle as Naruto gave him a knowing smirk before shrugging and leaving the room.

'Ah, of course sensei had to leave that behind.'

“Think it was a bit much, Kurama?” I asked the fox as we began walking towards Sasuke's room, tapping my fingers against the kunai as Kurama scoffed before responding.

“A bit much is an understatement, but it does sent a strong message.” I smirked at his response as I remembered the shocked and awed looks I got when I walked through the village, even hearing some mutters about Dad's name when I walked past them.

It was a bit risky to wear it as one could never know where spies might be lurking, but it was at least not as noticeable as the other gift he got.

“Right, that damned cloak.” The fox muttered and I snickered as I remembered Kurama's growl when he saw the white haori with red flames that was most likely Dad's, especially with the freshly sewn patch on the back in the shape of one of his claws.

“I thought we got over the whole 'I'm gonna kill your family!' bit?”

“You did. I still want to kill your entire family…save for Karin…and the Hyuga girl you have.”

“Wait, I'm not on that list?”

“I barely tolerate you.” He answered and I rolled my eyes before turning to Sakura as she spoke up.

“Your face has been going through facial expressions like you're on something. What spirits are you talking to?”

“One that wants to eat me apparently.” I answered and smirked as she frowned before crossing her arms with a huff.

“I wouldn't eat you. You look like you would taste like shit.”

“…Are you implying that I am like shit?”

“You said it, not me.” He answered and I grumbled before tuning back into the real world as Tsunade walked past us and opened the door.

“Damn, Itachi really did a number on him.” Unlike in the anime, Sasuke's eyes were open and I stared at a pair of soulless black eyes, each stairing off into the ceiling and at something we could not see.

“Forced to relive the sight of your family being killed over and over again for all eternity…I must admit I have a new respect for that older Uchiha.”

“And here I thought you hated all Uchiha.” I spoke with a smile as I sat down at the foot of Sasuke's bed, Sakura standing with a concerned look and holding his left hand as Tsunade placed a hand on his forehead.

“Simply because I wish for all Uchiha to be dead does not mean that I wish for that death to be an unending torturous nightmare. I would be more than satisfied with crushing them under my mighty paws!”

“You know, saying paws like that doesn't make it sound less cute.”

“…When we die, I will force my soul to pass on so I can drag you with me to hell and force us to dance in battle for all eternity.”

“Sure, bud. An endless battle sounds fun.” I spoke with a smirk and stifled my laughter as I heard him grumble before looking forward as I heard a groan, Tsunade pulling her hand away as Sasuke slowly opened his eyes.

“W-Where…where am I?” I heard him ask before shaking my head as Sakura hugged him instantly, looking over to Tsunade as she raised an eyebrow at me.

“Crush.” I mouthed and she simply hummed before we turned as the door opened.

“Lady Tsunade, your last patient is at the inspection room.” Shizune spoke with a smile as she walked into the room and Tsunade nodded before I turned as she spoke to me.

“You coming with?”

“Eh, I'll leave this to your expertise, granny.” I spoke with a thumbs-up and she rolled her eyes as she walked out, but not before softly flicking me on the ear with a smirk.

'How the hell is that soft?' I thought with a grumble before shaking my head as I noticed Sakura letting go.

“What happened to me?”

“Itachi. Caught you in some kind of never-ending genjutsu. He did the same with Kakashi-sensei.”

“And how did you escape him?” He asked with a frown and I frowned as I heard the tone in his voice.

“I didn't. Jiraiya was the one who got us out.”

“How?”

“With his toads. Honestly, if he wasn't there, I'd be a dead shinobi.”

“So even you with all your powers is hopeless against him.” He muttered and I shrugged as Sakura just looked between us.

“Yep, your brother-!”

“That bastard is not my brother!” He growled and I looked at his hate-filled glare before nodding.

“Right. That bastard is far stronger than I expected, especially since he wasn't even trying to catch me and I still struggled against him.”

“This is just a setback. I will get stronger and once I do, Itachi will be nothing but a dead man walking.”

“Sure, but in the meantime, you're weak as shit.” I spoke bluntly and rolled my eyes as he glared at me while Sakura frowned.

“Naruto, he just woke up.”

“He needs to hear this. I don't know why you thought you stood a chance, but if it weren't for the fact that I felt something was off and that Itachi only put you in a genjutsu, you would be six feet under and Team 7 would have lost a member.”

“And I would have been with my clan!”

“Yes, and the fucking Uchiha clan's name would have been even further tarnished by Itachi! Is that what you want?! For your clan's name to be nothing but dirt in the mud? 'Oh, the clan was reduced to a few numbers, but at least we didn't wiped out like the Uchiha did?' 'Oh, did you hear about that brother who killed the other brother? At least we're not as mad as those bloodthirsty bastards.'”

“Care for how you speak of my clan, Naruto! An orphan like you would never understand what it means for me to lose my loved ones!”

“I don't because my loved ones are right in front of me, so tell me Sasuke! If Itachi were to kill you, can I finally tell your grave I know what it's like to lose a brother?!” I asked with a frown and both him and Sakura looked surprised as I took a deep breath and continued.

“I don't care if you want revenge. I don't care if you want to destroy your clan's name. However, there's no goddamn way that I'm letting you do this shit in your own. If you want to kill Itachi, we'll tear that bastard's heart out together. If you want to bring him to justice, I'll bring the chains so we can tie him up. Whatever you or I or Sakura here decide from now on, we do that shit as a team, you understand? If not, I have no problem chaining you to this bed and making sure you can never chase after Itachi again because I am not losing a fucking brother over some stupid revenge shit.”

“…I am not proud, but I am impressed.” Kurama spoke with an excited tone and I rolled my eyes as I watched Sasuke stare at me in shock before grinning as he chuckled and shook his head.

“Fine, then. We'll do this shit together.”

“Count me in.” Sakura spoke up and both Sasuke and I raised an eyebrow as she huffed.

“What? I can contribute.”

“Sakura, the strongest person you fought was Hinata and she took you out within seconds.” Surprisingly, Sasuke was the one who said that and I blinked as Sakura was shocked at his words before I was even more surprised at the slap to the back of his head.

“What the hell was that for?!”

“I am a shinobi just like you two and you can't talk when Naruto didn't even try to beat you!”

“Oh, please! If we fought again, I'd beat his ass!”

“Oi, let's not tell lies here.” I spoke with a frown and he smirked as Sakura huffed.

“What? You think you're strong enough to take me on?”

“Well, I see only one person here that fought against Kabuto and won.”

“What?” Sakura asked with a frown and I smirked as Sasuke raised an eyebrow.

“What's that got to do with me?”

“Well, it turns out that Kabuto is a jonin of the Hidden Sound, a spy and the right hand man to Orochimaru himself and I had to fight him while Jiraiya and Tsunade took care of Orochimaru himself along with another accomplice.”

“And you expect us to believe that you won against him?”

“Hey, I never said I won easily. Almost died during the fight, but I got a win under my belt. You on the other hand got your ass handed to you by a guy that wasn't even trying.” I spoke with a shrug and he frowned before snorting as Sakura rolled her eyes.

“Don't you start antagonizing each other again. I can't stand having you two argue over shit like women.”

“…” Both Sasuke and I raised an eyebrow at Sakura and she smirked as she crossed her arms.

“What? You think you two are the only ones that know how to cuss?”

“…We sure this is Sakura?”

“Perhaps, it may be an imposter?” Sasuke proposed and I hummed as I watched Sakura narrow her eyes before smirking and shaking my head.

“Nah, we'd know if it was an imposter because they'd be stronger!” Quickly leaning back as her kick missed me, I rolled off of the chair and rushed out of the room with Sakura hot on my heels.

“Come back here and take your punch like a man!”

“You hit me, I hit you back!”

“Hah…hah…damn, she's persistent.” I muttered as I crouched right under the chin of the First Hokage's face, thankful for the numerous spots I knew across the village and the Shadow Clones I could make as the pink-haired girl was unrelenting in making sure she hits me at least once.

“Hi, Naruto.”

“Son of a-!” I squeaked as I heard a voice speaking right besides me, spinning to look at the one that spoke only to give a deadpan stare as Hinata tried to hide her giggles behind her.

“I-I-I'm so sorry~”

“You really just like scaring me, don't you?” I asked with a sigh, her giggling ceasing as I shook my head and began walking back up to the top of the head with her.

“I was gonna come visit you, but I see you've decided to come find me instead. Couldn't wait until we did the bet?” My words made her blush and I chuckled as she pouted and slapped my shoulder softly.

“You really need to stop teasing me.”

“I can't help it. Your reactions are too cute.”

“Oh, shush…and yes, I am here because of our bet.” She spoke with a nod and I raised an eyebrow before shrugging as I placed my hands behind my back.

“Sure, then. What do you wanna do? Rock-Paper-Scissors? Flipping a coin?”

“Tic-tac-toe.” I raised an eyebrow at her response before smirking as I reached into my flak jacket and pulled out a scroll, both of us sitting down as I rolled it open before unsealing a pot of ink and two brushes from it.

“So, one game? Best of three?”

“Just one. Otherwise, it would get too competitive and I know how you are.” She spoke with a smile and I shrugged as I handed a brush over before we dipped our brushes into the ink.

“Naruto.” Before I could even make the grid, though, I let out a slow sigh as I looked to the side at the ANBU kneeling besides us.

“Mr. ANBU, give me one reason why I shouldn't let Kurama burn your headquarters down.”

“And make it a good one.” Kurama's voice came from my mouth and I could fear the ANBU's anxiety as they gave a slow nod.

“Lord Third has asked me to inform you of the possibility of a new Uzumaki in the village.”

“…That is important, but the be-!” Before I could turn to Hinata, my eyes widened as she grasped my face and laid a soft kiss on my lips, feeling the sparks flooding my body before she pulled back with a smile.

“I want one kiss. That's my wish. Come find me when you have your wish planned.” She spoke with a smirk as she stood up, hopping away as I took a deep breath before shaking my head as I hopped to my feet.

“Alright, Mr. ANBU. Take me to the old man so Kurama can be mad at him.”

“Ooh~ Can I shoot the building down?” Kurama asked as I hopped after the ANBU down the cliff and I hummed as we began making our way to the far left of the village.

“…Maybe. We'll have to wait and see.”

A/N: Yeah, I really can't keep a promise, huh?

Sorry about the late upload. Fell asleep at about 3 am this morning and woke up at like 2 pm.

Anyway, enough about me. Naruto and Hinata have had their first…second…have had a kiss and now Naruto is about to meet up with the old man.

What's going to happen? We'll have to wait until the next one.
