Harbinger of Ruin: Ch.6

'Hah, my first combat situation.' I thought with a frown as I sat on the rooftop of a business warehouse, looking over the church in the far distance thanks to being able to enhance my eyesight using demonic energy.

The stuff really can make you do whatever you want with enough imagination, visualisation and power, but unfortunately, there are limits to it.

Anything involving the four fundamental forces of nature as well as the space-time continuum was off-limits unless you had an ability to do so or extensive knowledge and training on how each of them worked in detail and how you could manipulate them through the usage of demonic energy, which I unfortunately did not.

Damn Kiba for not keeping up with his magical training.

“I guess there's no point in wasting any more time.” I muttered as I walked and dropped feet first down, spreading my wings wide to slow my fall down to where I can land with a soft grunt before racing off towards the church.

Instead of entering it, though, I turned at the steps leading up to the church before running around the outside of its perimeter, creating a certain demonic blade one and stabbing it one after the other as I continued to run until I had done a full circle and came to a sliding stop right in front of the steps again.

This was a blade I had made especially for if and when Kokabiel decides to attack as I had made it specially effective against beings or weapons of a holy nature and while it was most definitely not powerful enough to even scratch the Cadre on his own, that was only when I used one at a time.

Creating two more of the broadswords and stabbing them into the ground in front of me to complete the circle, my hands were shaking from the overuse of my Sacred Gear but I forced myself to keep moving as I began to fuel demonic energy into the sword before beginning to link them all together.

The Death-Dealing, a demonic blade with sickly green streaks running along the blade that produced a gas that turns any holy energy it touches into a gas that's toxic to both humans and to any being of a holy origin while energizing any demonic being caught inside of it.

While I do not know how powerful the poison aspect of the blade is, the fact that the gas was able to give me enough strength that I felt nearly twice as strong told me all I needed to know.

Looking up as the nearly transparent gas was being pumped into the barrier I had created thanks to adding another enchantment to the blade that made it link up with any Death-Dealing nearby to form a makeshift-cage, I watched as a group of humans rushed out of the door.

No doubt having felt my demonic energy being unleashed, they took one look at me and pulled out sword hilts, but when they activated it, my eyes widened as the blast exploded and took with it their hands and even some of their arms.

'…Huh, so the poison also acts as a combustible substance when exposed to concentrated holy light.' I thought with a frown as the humans began to bleed from their orifices, all of them dropping to the floor right as my shock disappeared and a frown took its place as I saw the four Fallen Angels blasting through the roof.

“Okay, scratch that. The poison is a very powerful combustible substance.” I muttered to myself in shock as I watched the four Angels rising high up into the air, Dohnaseek missing an arm while Mittelt on the other hand was missing her entire left side.

Kalawarna and Raynare unfortunately were covered in small yet severe burns all over their body and the bluenette was doing her best to carrying the small blonde Fallen in her grasp.

I had to admit that their curvaceous and supple bodies were as tempting and as tantalizing as they were in the show, but unfortunately, I was here on business and not pleasure.

Quickly creating another of my new sword in my left hand, I grunted as I threw it up like a boomerang which they noticed as the three that were able to fly quickly moved out of the way right before I snapped my fingers and exploded the blade behind them.

Killer Queen. A hollow sword with an orange ribbon around the hilt that absorbs the oxygen in the air around it as it is swung and with a snap of my finger and a pulse of my unique demonic energy, I activate the secondary enchantment inside the sword that acts as a spark for an explosion with the force of three C4s.

The shockwave the blast created forced them closer to the ground and I unfurled my wings before feeling my mind shift as Kiba the Knight took over.

A normal sword was in my grasp right as I rocketed up towards them, Dohnaseek looking surprised as he subconsciously tried to create a light spear only to hiss as the poison lingering in the air made it explode right as I cut that same arm off.

Not giving the man time to move and forcing myself through the act, blood spewed in the air as I sliced through one side of his neck and out the other, ignoring his corpse falling to the floor as I held a sword behind me right as something impacted it with a harsh force.

While Knights were speedy, we were also as weak as shit in terms of strength and thus the attack had sent me barrel-rolling through the sky but with a quick twist, spin and redirection, I rolled over and around in the air before frowning as I saw Raynare glaring at me with Kalawarna nowhere in sight.

“Who the hell are you?!” She demanded and I rolled my eyes as I flew up, a growl escaping her lips as I simply readied myself and went into a stance before taking a deep breath and letting the gas flow towards my lungs.

The next moment, my eyes widened as I felt a rush flooding my body, my heartbeat pounding in my ears as I stared at the Fallen Angel before slicing through the air like a bullet as I appeared in front of her with my sword raised high.

Unlike Dohnaseek, she didn't try to block it and simply dodged out of the way, spinning through the air with her leg pulled back before I let the blade go and moved out of the way right as she sent it flying towards the ground.

However, I dismissed it and created a Death-Dealing in my right hand before stabbing it at her chest, Raynare grunting as she caught the blade with a clap right before her eyes widened as the tip expelled the blade's gas right into her face.

I could see her nose beginning to bleed and wheezing coughs escaped her lips as the gas did its work, to which I smirked as I waved the sword around me to let it unleash more gas before dismissing the blade and watching as she fell into a coughing fit.

The next moment, a Killer Queen appeared in my hand and her eyes widened as she coughed up blood, looking down at the blade stabbed into her chest before looking up as I nodded and moved back.

With a snap of my fingers, a gaping hole was blood into her chest with the blast ripping her wings off, watching as her corpse and the wings fell down before frowning as I slowly floated down to the ground.

“Huh, I guess they really did try to get out.” I muttered to myself as I saw Mittelt's corpse lying on the outside of the barrier, Kalawarna just shy of exiting it as she was still breathing heavily despite the blood dribbling from her eyes and ears.

“So, you have two options in front of you. You can join your…friends in death or you can live and become a devil. Which sounds better?” I asked as I crouched besides her, not surprised to see her trying and failing to make a light spear only for it to explode the moment she made it.

Thankfully, the concentration of light was weak and all she got was a slight burn on her palm, the woman staring up at me as I looked down with a frown.

“You have thirty seconds to respond. Which do you want?”

“…Kill me.”

“Well, I was hoping to get a new comrade, but if that is what you want…” I trailed off as I stood up, creating a Death-Dealing in my grasp before spinning it around and stabbing it up to the hilt in her head.

Unable to look away as the life left her eyes, I let out a shaky breath before nodding as I stood up, letting the blade shatter before letting the blades around the perimeter drain out the gas inside of it before I shattered the barrier.

After all, letting loose fumes toxic to humans in a populated human town was not the best of ideas.

'…Well, this was enlightening. Now, time for what I came for.' I thought with a hum as I picked up Kalawarna's and Mittelt's bodies, walking over to where Raynare's and Dohnaseek's had dropped before dropping them all onto one big pile.

A Killer Queen was in my grasp and I swung it rapidly in the air, stabbing it through the four corpses before creating a few more and doing the same thing until I was sure the explosion would get rid of anything, beginning my trek back to the stairs while snapping my fingers and lightning up the surrounding forest with a brilliant orange explosion.

Walking up the stairs towards the church that didn't make my skin crawl like it did before, I looked at the corpses of the humans the moment I made it to the top.

'Note to self: Don't use Death-Dealing around any allies that might use Holy weaponry. Damn, this shit is effective.' I thought to myself as I stared at the corpses lying on the floor and inside of the church through the slightly open door, a bit surprised at just how powerful the poison truly was.

I mean, I did expect it to at least be grow stronger over time the more one is exposed to it, but the explosive reaction to concentrated holy light was most definitely not something I expected seeing as I just expected it to make the light toxic to its owners.

'Maybe I can make it to the point that the gas turns any concentrated light into even a stronger gas that is also flammable, which would give me a quick combination with it and Killer Queen. Oh, the ideas are overflowing.' However, as I walked into the church, I quickly leaned out of the way right as the sound of a gunshot echoed inside it.

Hissing as I felt the holy bullet graze me slightly on the arm, I glared at the white-haired and red-eyed priest who answered with a manic grin as he walked out of the shadows, showing the pus bubbling out from the severe burns on his neck and side while his hand was melted into his right hand.

“You…you're the Devil fucker that took out this place, aren't you?” Freed Sellzen asked with a manic grin and I winced as I heard his burned foot smack wetly on the ground with each step he took, most likely because the skin on the underside of his foot was completely melted off.

“I am. Who the hell are you?”

“Your reckoning, you fucker!” He growled as he lifted his gun once more, but this time I was prepared as I created a Holy Eraser and sliced the bullet in two while also moving out of the way to let the fragments fly past me.

With a lunge, I was in front of the exorcist and swung at his side, spinning with the swing as he ducked only to extend my leg out and hook it behind his leg.

However, the guy was craftier than I expected as he pointed the barrel at my leg before pulling the trigger and it was only through my reaction time that I managed to move my leg down and out of the way as the bullet hit the ceiling behind him.

Pulling my leg back with a grunt, I also pulled him into the floor before spinning the sword into a reverse hilt and pinning his gun to the floor, another Holy Eraser appearing in my hand as I stabbed it down and pierced right through his other hand.

“You devil fucker! I'll kill you even if you kill me! I'll just come back and I'll-!” I didn't let him finish speaking as a Killer Queen was in my grasp and through his skull, leaping back and activating the tiny explosion that popped his head and sent brain matter splattering everywhere.

“Well, that was fun.” I muttered as I looked at the corpse, dismissing my blades before shaking my head as I walked up to the front of the church and sliced open the canopy blocking the secret door to the basement.

“Creepy basement in a church. Hah, why do I even do this again?” I muttered with a sigh as I walked down the steps, making sure to check all of the many doors in the underground mazes right before I stopped in one of the rooms.

It looked to be some kind of office with a small desk in the middle of the room and as I walked over to it, I frowned as I read through the papers on the desk.

'Plans to attack Kuoh Academy to get Asia back as well as plans to attack Issei and Saji to steal their Sacred Gears. …Huh, at least I got reason now to say why I attacked them.' I thought with a smirk as I rolled up the papers and placed them in my jacket before making my way out and through the last door of the maze.

As soon as I entered it, though, I stared at the light shining above as well as the ritualistic area built at the top of a flight of steps, but what I wanted was directly in the area at the top of the stairs as I made my way up.

Reaching out gingerly with a finger to touch the cross, I was surprised to feel just a dull heat coming from it, the heat more like that of touching warm water with your fingertip.

However, as I placed my palm flat onto it, I frowned and pulled back as the heat increased, now going to the feeling you'd get when you touch hot water.

In other words, it was safe to touch for a few seconds, but longer than that and I might risk getting more than just a burn.

'However, a few seconds is all I need.' Taking a deep breath, my demonic energy flowed through my body as I placed my hand flat on the cross, ignoring the pain and the steam coming out from under it as I sent a pulse of demonic energy rushing through the cross.

Trace On.” Immediately, I stopped moving as I felt my consciousness sinking back to see the bigger picture, watching as numerous unknown enchantments flew across my vision along with every little detail of what the cross was made of.

The next, I gasped as a blast of Holy energy from the staff sent me flipping head over heels through the air, groaning with each time that I roll across the ground before wheezing as I finally came to a stop.

“Yep…yeah, that…that was expected.” With a groan, I stumbled to my feet while dusting off my clothes, staring at the large cross on the platform before looking down at the hand that had touched it to see a few burns covering my palm.

However, I was grinning widely as I looked at my other hand, the Gremory crest appearing on it before a longsword with a dark silver streak running up the middle of the back appeared in my grasp.

Holding the sword gingerly, I held the edge to the back of my burned hald before slicing a cut into it, dropping the blade to the floor as I hissed when a burning sensation ran up my arm as the cut bubbled the moment the blade sliced into it.

Reaching out to dismiss the blade and create a new one, I froze as I realised I couldn't, slowly looking down at the blade lying on the floor before smirking as I realised what I just did.

I…I just created a sword that cancels out Sacred Gears.

'…Oh, I am a walking cheat-code.'

A/N: And we're done with the chapter~!! Next chapter is dealing with the repercussions of his actions and meeting a flaming chicken.

Also, Raynare and her team were never exactly a threat so him taking them out on his own isn't something anyone should be surprised at, especially with the new swords he created for these situations that I hope you guys enjoy.

Another also, the explanation for how his sword works will be given next chapter so wait until then.

As always, read, enjoy, review and until the next one…

Ba-Bye~!!

That...is true. However, this is a Kiba that wants to get rid of all threats as quickly as possible in order to make no future threats could be made possible. Also, just realized that I am a very homicidal guy when it comes to self-insert stories. I guess you really do learn something new every day.

Ethan

Not sure what the point of directly going after them and killing them was. Would have been better to deliver them to Azazel

Okita-Chan

Considering a weak Issei could take out Raynare and Rias on her own took out Dohnaseek, Kalawarna and Mittelt, Kiba prepping blades in advance to take them all out isn't that far-fetched, but I can see what you mean by what it's too easy.

Ethan

Well, that felt too easy
