Dragon change

Currently there are two dragons in the game, the placeholder that you fly around with in the early access and the new one that is being worked on for all upcoming dragon features like customization, physics and ground movement. Since the physics-based model works quite differently, a lot of things need to be remade with this in mind and any additional work done on the old dragon would likely need to be remade for the new dragon later. Because of this, the old dragon won't be getting any major changes until it is completely replaced by the new dragon.

The new dragon will be added to the early access when it has at least sufficiently good ground movement and flying (at which point it will also most likely have some customization options as well). This would be at the earliest in the next big update some time after tier 1 has access to the current build. Exactly how long after is to be decided and depends mainly on how long it takes to get the aforementioned features into a good enough state to ship, but I would guess late April (no promises though).

The plan for the new dragon implementation is to start with the ground movement as seen in the latest sneak peek, and then work on transitioning to flying, porting the flight system to the physics-based model, and finally going back from flying to ground movement. The customization will be worked on in parallel to this, at first by using simple menus to add/swap pieces, change colors, etc (like the experience customization menu), and at some later time a dedicated dragon creator mode.
