2023-06-28 18:43:59 +0000 UTCI think the other thing I've started to think about especially now that she's shown she reflects on her past albums, and can tell stories and interpolate her life with folklore/evermore is that Taylor can probably do what we do when we listen to her music? She captures a feeling so well that maybe "Question..." was about Harry but now in the same way we can listen to it and imagine someone else and the way it fits our lives, she can do the same and it could also fit Matty for her, OR even have been a mixture of feelings and experiences with different people at the time.

2023-06-02 14:38:25 +0000 UTCI was at the Foxborough Saturday show which truly was, as Taylor said, "the rainiest rain show that ever rain showed". I hate to sound like I'm complaining because I was so blessed to have gotten tickets and of course had an AMAZING time. But just a perspective of someone at a rain show..tbh it's maybe not all it's cracked up to be. Hard to describe how wet we were- like Taylor said it really was like standing in a shower for 3.5+ hours, wind & rain coming from every direction, absolutely pouring, my sister dumped probably 2 cups worth of water out of her rain boot after the show. We couldn't wear the outfits we hand-made for weeks, couldn't do some of the fun makeup looks we had planned, my sister got a huge rain droplet in her eye that somehow got behind her contact so she couldn't see properly for much of the show, you couldn't really take your phone out at a point out of fear it would get ruined and hard to get good pics / videos. Silver lining was hoping we'd get an illegal surprise song (like the Nashville night 3 rain show with Would've Could've Should've) and cause of her connection with Gillette Stadium (if you remember from Journey to Fearless this is where they highlighted it was her first ever stadium show) but we got...Invisible (ILY Debut but it was very random). However it was definitely memorable and Taylor showed just how much of a pro she was for powering through. But still, praying for everyone's future shows that mother nature blesses you with good weather so your experience is A+!

2023-05-30 01:45:31 +0000 UTCI'm still under the belief that since the debut album was her first album she didn't fully know the ins and outs of truly owning a song. I figured that legally it's also easier to sing a song once instead of performing it every night since technically Big Machine can ban her from performing her older songs if she's still in the process of being able to re-record them. Hence the reason she has never messed up a debut secret song (as far as I know). However, it would be odd for them to block her considering it would just make them more money since people are buying and streaming a lot of songs she plays. Only Taylor knows what's going on in her mind.

2023-05-25 13:12:43 +0000 UTCI also think that 6 years is also a long time to really get to know someone, to have spend so many time spiraling over the same issues and with that might come acceptance and freedom when you finally let it go and accept that love is not enough. That you have done everything you could to make it work but people evolved and change. Sometimes love is not enough and being finally allowed to embrace yourself fully can surpass the loss and the heartbreak. Don't know if she is going through that but that's what I keep thinking because everyone says it's so hard to get out of a 6 years relationship, but maybe sometimes it's not... sometimes giving up is the one thing that will find you the right thing. And that thing might be yourself.

In daylight she also said that “I once believed love would be burning red but it’s golden” referencing the burning red again. I wish she would’ve played daylight with red tbh. Plus the idea of love being golden is such a reference to Joe. Maybe I’m making this connection up but it was the first thing that came to mind when i heard red and a lover song together.

I was so so grateful to be able to go🙏🏻 and Taylor truly didn’t miss a beat (icon behavior!👏🏼) buuuuuut everyone saying you’ll get an epic show if it rains is kind of like saying that to someone on their wedding day😅 Obviously it will still be a superior day but…couldn’t get good videos or pictures (monsoon vibes lol), couldn’t wear my outfit I spent weeks hand-making, etc. I had such high hopes for the surprise songs as a treat during the chaos so was disappointed by Invisible (also confused because..debut songs two nights in a row)? That being said, of course I still scream sang every word to it haha. Forever mourning my fave WCS and to know that was also after a rain delay…💔 Still a superior show and would stand in a monsoon for Taylor any day!🙃

So to me, Question...? and other songs can actually be about two relationships that made her feel that way (which makes sense), or even half complete "fiction". Personally yes sometimes I attach some songs to her relationships, but in general I just take them as an expression of her experiences in general - blurry and all! As we know she uses very specific details that immediately make us think of one situation, but maybe it's actually not just that and she blends and match them for artistic reasons (and to stay elusive). Also, one link I haven't seen a lot online is that the "a color I've searched for since" is a specific imagery she loves and has also used in illicit affairs! "You showed me colors you know I can't see with anyone else" so one can say these are connected to the same person/situation, but maybe absolutely not and its romanticized reality/fiction! Anyway all this to say that to each their own process of fathoming songs haha (sorry for the long message)

She thinks about him and the time they spent together, fondly. And she wants to ask him, do you still want to touch me? Do you remember leaving and not putting up much of a fight, why not? We had good times. We had something, even though it didn't manifest itself. Do you remember? I remember. So I think, it brought back happy memories of their time together, the time they spent and she obviously thinks fondly of, not sadly. Seems like it is about Matty all along and "I remember" is a red herring.

She says “There’s just too much going on.. and it makes sense that you like her songs, the same way you love stuff like Marvel and Game of Thrones. You enjoy that kind of stuff” and that made me remember what Bon and Emily refers to as “TSCU”, the LORE of it all and this past weekend was an example of that! I still cannot get over about Questions..? being about Matty, how it relates back to 1989, how “About You” is a probable answer to her Questions..? or the other way around? ILLEGAL! The TSCU is such an experience.

Now, she’s on her biggest tour to date, her re-recordings, works on her art during her free dates, a new love that understands her better (?). For me it makes sense that it makes sense for her. Again this is all speculation and we will never know, but I see the contrast between this “happiest” vs 1989 era “happy”.

However I don't get the impression that she's excluded a Debut set from the tour because she hasn't re-recorded it, rather I think it's just already such a long show with so many huge hits she has to perform, and she knows that debut is the least known/listened to album, and obviously the oldest, so just decided to leave it out!

To us it feels so soon since we only just found out about it, but I think to myself this is the queen of karma and she wouldn’t do anything that she isn’t in a good state of mind for. So therefore I truly believe that relationship was long done long ago and she has processed and moved on and she is in a better place and good for her! I support her happiness 💕

I have convinced myself it’s likely because he lives in Eau Claire, Wisconsin which is just 2 hours from Minneapolis. I am pretty certain we are the closest tour venue to him if he’s there. One of my friends is going on the 24th, so if Taylor could just bring him out to do exile on my night and evermore on hers, that would be a dream. Probably I will be wrong and very sad about it, but I am holding out hope!!!

First I've watched some 1975 fans talk about the lyrics and why they fit Matty and it's compelling. It's about the "I remember" and the OOTW reference at the start. That for most have solidified this song as being about Harry Styles but what if she's not referencing the person OOTW is about but the feeling? She played it 2nd night Nashville as well. It does not make the OOTW about him but it has to reflect the anxiety of what she's been feeling in the current climate.

For a 6 yr relationship you literally can count in short order how many times they attended award shows together or wernt out on the town. Maybe she starting feeling isolated and lonely being inside for 6 years! In the beginning you're so in love you don't care but as time goes by it really probably takes a toll. Especially for a natural extravert. Folklore and Evermore were made during the pandemic over zoom. Midnights she was finally able to work with some of her best friends in person and reconnect with old friends too. And to be able to create her music and share it with the world is all she ever wanted. She probably was like "Damn there is still a world out here and I feel really good....there's no way I'm going back inside!" She seems so free and joyful... like she's been released from captivity! I'm sure it took awhile for her to process everything. It was "A death by a thousand cuts" kind of breakup. It's long, hard, painful but ultimately freeing! Damn! Sorry that was so longgggg!!

HOWEVER Taylor's love for rain shows truly showed bcause she was so joyful and kept doing funny/cute things like catch the rain in her mouth and wipe the rain off of the piano that made the show so damn fun! Being there felt like dancing around in one of those toddler wading pools with the water spouts, it was so iconic. When she told us how happy she was in her life it just made all of that even better, it was such a wholesome moment and I am so happy to have witnessed her at such a happy moment in her life! I was happy to get Question...? to be able to better fathom that song, but also SO HAPPY AND RELIEVED to get a Debut song and be able to say I heard all 10 Eras at my show! Invisible is a song I have really fathomed and fell in love with in the past few years, so everything really fell into place Saturday night. I am also giggling at the fact that our show turned her piano HAUNTED last night. ;)

2023-05-22 13:19:38 +0000 UTCi think a lot of us are feeling kinda lost in this whole situation, it’s basically what we all go through at the moment. i think it‘s incredibly important not to dismiss the criticism because all of it is so valid. none of it should be shoved aside because that's so invalidating for swifties of colour and other minorities who are personally affected and have been hurt by matty's words and actions - and now, by association, are disappointed in taylor for apparently dating him. feeling that way does not mean anyone's a fake fan. it‘s a perfectly valid sentiment - and i think most people are feeling that way BECAUSE they are such huge fans. it just hurts. all of those emotions can co-exist with still being a huge fan. it‘s just a lot to come to terms with for a lot of fans at the moment and i think we should give each other space to share those sentiments in this community. the way i see it is that one can only hope that MH becomes a much better person in the future. he should‘ve apologised a long time ago because even if he didn‘t mean to offend people, he obviously DID. maybe this backlash will make him realise some of those things. we shall see.

(It's closer to NYC than Santa Clara is to San Francisco in fact). I’m not sure if you have seen the open letter that has been written to Taylor and her team and that the same group has encouraged fans to cancel their Speak Now pre orders. I think she has been trying to navigate that. Encouraging fans to cancel their pre orders is really lousy behaviour. I would never “cancel” Taylor for the actions taken by a man and frankly none of us know who he really is as a person.
