May 2022 Tavern LiveKit Server Keys

Thank you to the new and continued patrons who have subscribed for access to our clustered LiveKit server for use with the LiveKit AVClient for FoundryVTT.

Feedback on the update released last month has been great! I'm glad the server and module are working well for folks.

As the number of subscribers continues to grow, I continue to monitor the usage of the cluster and add resource as needed. A couple of days ago I increased the capacity by an additional 50%, so we should have a bit more room to continue to grow. As always, I'll continue to keep an eye on everything but feel free to reach out if you have any problems with the cluster.

May 2022 Access (valid until 2022-07-01)

LiveKit Server Address: livekit.tavern.at

LiveKit API Key: API202205wYG7r5

LiveKit Secret Key: 8ulnr46Onsdc5edujLbO2gHEYCGdS4dBsfKbxWRhOy5

Enjoy!

Ahh, yes. It does still require that your foundry server be hosted with SSL enabled. That's a hard requirement of WebRTC and browsers.

Ok I'll need to read up on this as it not allowing those details to be set up unless I set up ssl protection and it einy let me do tgst even though I'm the administrator

At the moment, you still need to enter the key information listed above. The new option is the first step to adding true Patreon sign-in, but at the moment the keys are still manually entered.

joined the patreon but still getting no option on the FTT config , just the join the patron link feel like im missing a step somewhere

If you were to run your own server, you'd need to have proper SSL certificates for it. If you are using it with the Tavern cluster, that's all managed by us so you can just use the module as-is with the details listed above.

Brint E. Kriebel

Would this module require adding an SSL certificate and all of that? or can I just use the module.

Jerold Gaines

For future reference, it seems like it may have been an overzealous ad blocker that caused the connection issues 🙂

All cleared up, thanks for the help on Discord! Can't wait to try it tonight with the crew!

Frank Merrick

Yes, that's what I show "livekit.tavern.at"

Can you double check that you are using the address "livekit.tavern.at" exactly as-is? There should be no "https://" or any other prefix before it. If that is correct, can you try opening a new tab in your browser and going to "https://livekit.tavern.at/" - if it is working, you should see "OK". If it isn't, perhaps you will get some additional information.

Uninstall/reinstall no luck. Also tried: resetting meeting room ID and disabling/re-enabling A/V, no luck

Frank Merrick

I'm looking forward to trying this out with my crew tonight, but I'm getting the error "Error connecting to LiveKit Server: Could not connect after timeout" I tried deactivating the module and activating it again, no luck. Next, I am going to try uninstall/reinstall, but I'd appreciate any ideas! (I'm using the May keys)
