Year 820 | Month 3 | Day 11
An incredibly loud screech echoes through the tunnel before almost immediately fading away once the nearly disabled Tier 3 arachnid finally goes the rest of the way down my large, plantlike mouth.
I can’t help but feel disturbed at the bizarre feeling, but before I can think about it any further, I get the note marking the arachnid’s death. And just three seconds after that, my transformation ends, and I find myself back in my human form retching over the floor.
Please… never make me transform into a carnivorous plant again…
I don’t care that I could still move somehow. It was disgusting. Even with the new instincts it came with.
Just the thought of doing that again sends a shiver down my spine.
Wait a second…
I glance down at my stomach before looking around for a few seconds.
What happened to the spider’s body that I just swallowed…?
My only answer is the silence of the tunnel.
On second thought, it might be best if I didn’t know.
I climb back to my feet and open my status.

I grimace at the amount of EXP I have before shaking my head.
At least I’ve now gotten half of the EXP needed to level up again… why couldn’t things go back to how they were before, where I could just kill a few hundred monsters and get a level? Or better yet, when I could just kill a few and get a level?
Also, my strength stat is really starting to look unbalanced amongst the others. Not to mention my MP stat that I haven’t even used yet, since none of my skills actually use MP.
Actually, now that I think about it, why do I even have that stat? Why not just have a Wrath stat instead?
Is it because it’s a Sin energy and not something related to the ‘System’?
I stare at the status for a few more seconds before closing out of it and looking around the tunnel.
Guess it’s about time to move on…
My thoughts trail off as I notice something out of the corner of my eye.
“What the…” I mutter while walking over to the tunnel wall, which I just noticed seems to be shimmering slightly. Albeit just a small portion of it.
With more than a little curiosity, I reach out to the shimmering wall very slowly, only to quickly pull back after it passes through the wall as if it weren’t there.
“Oh?”
I get down on my hands and knees and begin crawling through the hole, just to find myself passing through dozens of cobwebs.
“Eww,” I grunt with a disgusted look on my face. But the sight of a note appearing in my vision turns that disgusted look into an incredibly pleased one in an instant.

Congratulations! You have found a hidden area within the dungeon!

Without a hint of hesitation, I fire a bolt of Wrath lightning straight through the cobwebs to the back of the little tunnel, disintegrating them all in but a moment. Which ends up revealing some sort of tiny treasure chest beneath one of the cobwebs at the back, corner of the tunnel.
A System Item perhaps?
Hopefully?
I continue crawling over there before sitting cross legged on the floor in front of it. Before I open it though, I look around it and even focus on it with my aura to check for any sort of traps. And when I fail to find any, I reach for it and pick it up just to look beneath the chest.
Still nothing? Maybe it’s because this is in a hidden area…
I glance back at the opening of the tunnel to find that the ‘wall’ was apparently only one way, letting me see straight out of it from this side to find a Tier 2 arachnid calmly walking by without paying any attention to me.
Huh.
Hidden indeed.
I turn back to the chest before popping the lid and looking inside.

Dungeon
Congratulations! You have found Arch Spinneret!
This hidden item allows the user to create a sticky string that can be launched out of any part of the weapon. The string is able to stretch upwards of one hundred meters with little issue and can resist the attacks of any creature below Tier 3.

My eyes widen at the note before I focus entirely on the odd item sitting in the box. It looks like some sort of hidden sheathe that is supposed to go on the forearm, but there isn’t any blade, so I’m not really sure what to do with it.
I pick it up with a frown.
So, do I just put it on as if it did have a blade? Or do I need to get one myself…?
After a few seconds of pondering I decide to just put it on my wrist, only for it to move on its own right after I do so, navigating to the center of my forearm. What’s more is that a strange, silvery bar appears inside of the sheathe answering my question about a blade.
Guess there isn’t one needed at all.
But how do I use this?
I slowly back out of the hidden tunnel to give myself some space before looking at both directions of the main tunnel, finding a single Tier 2 arachnid and smiting it with my Wrath lightning, and turning my attention back to the item.
Maybe…
With a simple thought, a strand of string shoots out of the silver bar at the ground where I focus my thoughts for it to shoot.
Interesting.
Very interesting.
Although, right now is fine since I have my cloak in my storage pouch, but outside of the dungeon when I’m wearing it, the item won’t be all that useful.
Unless it can go through my cloak that is. Which would be pretty cool.
With that thought in mind, I send one last glance towards the hidden tunnel before continuing my way through the main tunnel.
