This marks the first episode where Kurt is absent, for reasons that are unknown. Also, during Take me or Leave me, Rachel’s sweater says love on it with the lesbian colors. A reference to who sings the song in the musical. And their group performance Sing is later referenced by Sue in season 5, saying that that was the moment the glee club stopped being scared of her because she quote “danced on stage with them in plaid pajamas”.
