2024-09-11 00:02:54 +0000 UTCWhen Corey (Finn) smiles it's just so enveloping. It's like his smile literally reaches from ear to ear đąđ„°... Currently on the part when Mercedes joined in singing on Imagine đ

2024-09-04 08:33:33 +0000 UTCThis show is like a soap opera. LOL. So much lying and deception going on. It's so refreshing when they move past these high-school-esque attitudes. They all grow to be great people. They really do all end up coming together and respecting each other. It's a wonderful journey. Your comments are spot on. Glee is about joy - the love of music - not winning. The creative outlet of choir in high school was my saving grace among the crazy times of being a teenager.

2024-09-02 22:51:26 +0000 UTCI think another show you might like is One Tree Hill it has a great amount of drama as well as one of the best soundtracks of the entire 2000s decade as well as multiple real musical performances if you haven't seen it already!

2024-09-01 09:29:53 +0000 UTCI agree. The only thing is I do think Finn cares about her and he's trying to do the right thing. But it's quite obvious he's not in love with her and doesn't really wanna be with her. I'm not even sure Puck wants to either.

2024-08-31 23:21:16 +0000 UTCWell my experience in the fandom is the exact opposite. Rachel gets SO MUCH HATE and, while a lot of it is definitely deserved, they also laugh at Sue who bullies and even PHYSICALLY ATTACKS other people, praise Santana who literally bullies everyone, Quinn who lies to and manipulates everyone and Kurt who manipulates people and doesn't understand the concept of consent. I feel like Kurt gets a pass BECAUSE they are both guys. Answer honestly, if Finn was a girl, would you be okay with the way Kurt behaves around him and manipulates him?
Heida
2024-08-31 23:18:26 +0000 UTCLike I said, Kurt is a very sympathetic character and I definitely understand where he's coming from. That doesn't make it right what he is doing though. I look at it this way: If Finn was a girl, would I be okay with the way Kurt behaves around him and manipulates him AND Rachel (who's he's not even in a relationship with)? No. Harassment doesn't have to be physical and I'm sure you didn't mean it that way but "Finn not saying no" sounds kinda victim blamey and is no different than saying someone who was r*ped didn't say no, therefore it was okay. It's okay to like a character and feel empathy for them but also "call them out" on shit. I just don't see a lot of people do that when it comes to Kurt or Quinn for that matter.

2024-08-31 22:50:14 +0000 UTCI'm enjoying the rewatching and seeing what you remember and don't remember from the first time watching. Are you going to listen to anymore of the And That's What You Really Missed Podcast Recaps? I was hoping to hear your reaction to some of their episodes and memories of the show.

2024-08-31 21:31:31 +0000 UTCI swear Heatherâs hair is just an extension of her body when she dances. I love watching her dance even now.

2024-08-31 03:44:15 +0000 UTCI chalk up a lot of the character inconsistencies to these kids being hormonal teenagers who are trying to figure themselves out. I mean, yeah, itâs just really down to the writers (Ryan, Brad and Ian for this season) not having all the characters fully fleshed out yet and they are finding their footing. Once more writers come onboard, itâs even harder for them all to stay consistently true to every character for every episode.

2024-08-31 03:40:30 +0000 UTCHeather sneezing in the middle of the deaf choir was so funny! Naya was the only one around her that noticed and you can see her giggling.
Annie Willow
2024-08-31 03:35:28 +0000 UTCDefinitely!! Even before Puck got her pregnant, she didnât have a supportive loving environment at home and now even what she did have is gone and she doesnât have anyone she feels safe to talk to about the whole situation. The guys are both out, neither are mature enough to really understand what sheâs going through. All the adults in her life are definitely useless. She couldnât go to her best friends because well, she slept with the guy that Santana is trying to keep her claws in for âreasonsâ and we all know how great Brittany is at keeping secrets. Honestly, Carole would be the best one to talk to if she wasnât dating her son and telling that the baby was his.

2024-08-31 03:33:28 +0000 UTCAs someone who grew up with alcoholic and manipulative parents, I feel like I kind of understand why Quinn keeps jumping from Finn to Puck. She literally doesnât have anyone, no support system. Her parents kicked her out so sheâs essentially homeless, her âbest friendâ is sexting her baby daddy, Sue is not there for her, and sheâs being manipulated by Terri so she canât really talk to Mr. Schue. She hasnât been able to talk to anyone about the baby except the guy who got her drunk and then got her pregnant, and the guy who she was dating at the time. Neither of which really seem to care about her? Which is sad..She hasnât even really been given real options about what to do bc Terri flew in right away and said give your baby to me. Not an excuse to lie to Finn and certainly not okay at all. I think sheâs just really scared and is clinging on to ANY form of support for dear life. Side note! Papa donât preach is one of my fav numbers, I wish we got a full version

2024-08-30 21:24:18 +0000 UTCHe's also young and struggling with his first real crush on someone. Even worse a crush he knows can't possibly be reciprocated nor can he be very open about at all. If anything these early storylines just show how much he grows throughout the season and becoming not only more comfortable with who he is but also that he can have an openly gay relationship and be accepted. Hell, that any other guy actually will love him. Relatable to feel hopeless in that department. Especially as a teenager.
Jennifer Lawrence
2024-08-30 18:11:45 +0000 UTCTotal agree about the Kurt thing! If he had done even half of what Rachel did to Will or Finn, people wonât hesitate to call him out for it. But because itâs a guy acting that way about and to another guy, itâs seen as predatory and over-the-line. Everyone should refer back to the 2010 glee panel because Chris explains it perfectly.

2024-08-30 05:26:31 +0000 UTCEvery show has a fault and unfortunately, gleeâs is continuity errors. But this bus pretty good. Not the strongest but a good layout of the upcoming competition. Iâm so happy that Tina got a solo, and Rachel must be blind if she honestly thought the Jane Adamâs girls were bad dancers. Sheâs not exactly one to call someone bad in that department. My favorite song here is probably True Colors. Heartfelt, simple, and iconic. Episode fun facts: (1) the deaf choir coach is played by Micheal Hitchcock, who stays on the crew as a writer/director. Thatâs why his character keeps reappearing until the end. (2) Jane Lynch is actually deaf in one ear. (3) During the Jane Adamâs number, one of the showâs choreographers, Brooke Lipton, is seen as a dancer. She is in the middle riser of the stage and has straight bright red hair. (4) During Imagine, look closely and you can see Heather Morris, aka Brittney, sneeze and temporarily break character.

2024-08-30 05:17:54 +0000 UTCI would like to submit a defense of season 1 Kurt. The way I see season 1 Kurt is he has a lot of armor up. He is prickly and he doesn't open up to people. Who he is is not accepted in his school. He feels like he has no realistic hope to ever have an actual boyfriend anytime soon. He only recently found out that his dad accepted him but they're still figuring out how to communicate around that. And also he lived through his mother dying. We see a lot of Kurt in group numbers in season 1 still being kind of guarded around everyone. So he's not very nice and that's why. Rachel also struggled with making friends for completely different reasons and I really love seeing their friendship start in Duets when she realizes he is lonely and reaches out to him to sing with him. There was something they both needed there. In terms of Finn, like I said, Kurt had no way to express any kind of affection without being severely bullied Finn was part of the group of bullies and Kurt got a crush because he was a nice bully. And I do feel like Kurt's actions in season 1 get overstated as creepy. Most of what he does is stare and look awkward and Finn never actually says no. And both of them are teenagers and don't behave perfectly or know the right way to handle everything the first time. And also Quinn actually was the original makeover manipulation mastermind. This episode was a mess with everyone's angles on that now that I think about it. Quinn wanted Rachel to have a hot makeover to distract Finn so he wouldn't care about her babysitting with Puck. Kurt wanted it to be bad so Finn wouldn't like Rachel. Rachel wanted it to be good to steal Finn away from Quinn. I think FInn comes out okay here?

2024-08-30 01:54:45 +0000 UTCyea its crazy to see how much I forgot about Kurt! Omg those fun facts!
Audrey McDonald ( Songs From A Suitcase)
2024-08-29 19:40:42 +0000 UTCFans often forget how manipulative Kurt was in S1, like trying to sabotage Finn and Rachel. Not to mention constantly harassing Finn. Even in S2 he made a biphobic comment to Blaine by saying that bisexuals are just confused gays (Santana was extremely biphobic as well). He was honestly problematic in a lot of ways but people forget because he was a very sympathetic and relatable character, especially to young gay kids. Everyone was a mess in this episode. Quinn deciding to have the baby, which was fair as I don't think she had even signed anything for the adoption, but constantly going back & forth between Finn & Puck and lying to Finn about the baby. Then Puck sexting Santana and lying about it, Finn emotionally (and physically twice before) cheating with Rachel, Rachel going after Finn... not to mention Terri & Kendra with Quinn, Will with the stupid "hairography" and Sue being Sue. Oh Lord đ But the Imagine performance always makes me cry too and True Colors is beautiful & suits Jenna's voice perfectly. Fun facts: One of the dancers in the Jane Addams Glee Club performance is Glee's assistant choreographer Brooke Lipton (the redhead). She was also the assistant choreographer on The Glee Project. Some of the members were contestants on So You Think You Can Dance as well. They originally wanted Whitney Houston to play the part of Grace Hitchens, the director of Jane Addams Academy Glee Club. However, she declined and rapper/singer/actress Eve was then offered the role. Michael Hitchcock who plays Dalton Rumba, the director of the deaf choir, became a writer/producer on the show, starting in S3. Heather Morris taught the rest of the cast the hairography dance, EXACTLY how Brittany did in the episode. The word "distract/distracted/distraction" is said 20 times throughout the episode.
