2022-03-24 02:18:36 +0000 UTCFrom what I remember from the BTS videos at the time, they actually filmed Singing in the Rain in their auditorium. For season one they used a real high school auditorium but then after that they built their own replica on the Fox lot. I really enjoy episodes like this that are just quite silly, I think Glee did that kind of ridiculous, cracky, slightly surreal humour really well. And most of Sue's lines were written by Ian Brennan, he really understood her awful, mean sense of humour! And one of the other writers, Brad Falchuck, actually ended up marrying Gwyneth Paltrow after she was in this episode!

2022-03-23 20:33:40 +0000 UTCI also really appreciate Make 'em Laugh for the dancing that Harry and Matthew did. They said that it took them 8 hours to film that and them falling at the end of the number was out of sheer exhaustion. If you watch the behind the scenes video about this number you'll find out that those flips they did off the walls were real and the choreographer Zach Woodlee was genuinely scared that they'd fall flat on their faces, but both Harry and Matthew insisted on doing it. They gave Matthew a board and angle to assist him, but Harry did it straight up. Amazing number and you can also see the other members of the cast that were there in the background and to assist with the stunts with Heather being the easiest to spot, and Naya, Mark, Cory, Chord and Kevin make appearances as well.

2022-03-23 07:59:58 +0000 UTCWhen it first aired, my favorite song was Singin in the Rain/Umbrella, but through the years I've really come to appreciate the performance of Forget You as it featured a variety of cast members' voices as well as the power that Naya had in her voice in the ad libs that often go overlooked in this song. There's a video on youtube that shows the hidden vocals of Santana Lopez where they strip away the music and you can really hear her voice and ad libs that are often hard to catch on the first watch. Will and Mike are recreating the song including the choreography originally performed by Gene Kelly and Donald O'Connor. Will is dreaming, but being a comfort movie, dreaming of Singing in the Rain

No one noticed when Rachel was at Will's apt, she put the mask on when he blew his nose, but not when he coughed. Thought that was a bit strange, much like the episode. I really can't wait for her to get to Sue Sylvester shuffle, blame it on the alcohol, and Sexy. 😛🤪

I love Terri's acting so much that I wish her character had something more meaningful to do like being a mean teacher at the school, but because I don't care about Will's life but she's great.

2022-03-23 00:28:25 +0000 UTCalso i love forget you because in the second half of the song naya has so many ad libs and runs and she sounds sooo good! whenever i see people react to that song i hope they notice her parts but it's easy to miss them when you're focusing on everyone else onscreen and just expecting it to be gwyneth paltrow's vocals but naya's parts are really good i'm glad the watch party is up to the point in the show where santana is getting more and more singing parts and eventually her own songs!

2022-03-23 00:06:45 +0000 UTCi saw singin in the rain onstage and they actually do have the rain and water on stage it's really fun, even at my small town theatre so i can't imagine how it would be on a huge stage! it must have been so fun for them to shoot this on the show too i love when they have numbers like this where theres a big production and everyone can just enjoy themselves

She also is in the Glee Live video on stage with them on tour in 2011. They should have given a spin-off to Sue I agree, she gets wackier as the seasons go on. Sings I'm a Bitch by Merideth Brooks in season 6, let's just say, yeah she needed her own spin-off just from that song alone LOL. I thought that having Lauren Zizes sneeze on both Figgins and Mr. Schue was absolutely disgusting. The little kids, the one that played Rachel was also on Days of Our lives for like 5 years playing Ciara Brady. I think they Soras's (Soap Opera Rapidly aging System) her too quick though. She was still a good little actress. They have the behind scenes of that specific part of the episode on Youtube, They all got to meet the actors of the parts they were playing. If you didn't notice little Quinn was there but older Quinn was not when the scene started. Dianna Agron was out for that scene. Next is Furt, you get to meet Doris Sylvester. Find out Why Sue is who she is and acts the way she acts.
