As you might know by now I am passionate about health, wellness and lifestyle stuff. Not a day goes by that I don't read or listen to something new about these topics.
With that said I wanted to share something that I recently, through my own experiences, realized. I'm glad I did as it has made me detach from dogmatic thinking patterns. This experience was the push I needed to let go of them.
There is a place and time for meat, vegetables and fruit. These are my thoughts about them.
Animal products are not "bad". Animal products are necessary for build a strong and healthy body. They are needed to feel grounded, satiated and calm. Animal products are for building.
Animal products from healthy pasture raised animals, who eat good and are happy are the best ones to consume. We are able to live for the rest of our lives on animal products only as they offer all the macro-nutrients, vitamins and minerals we need.
There are times when your gut is suffering in which you aren't able to digest animal products properly. Things like bone and meat stock and easier to digest animal products like eggs, chicken and fish are then advisable.
I don't believe that we are able to sustain ourselves long term on vegetables only. They lack many vital nutrients the human body need to survive and thrive. Neither on fruit, as I will talk about next.
Vegetables are full of fiber and cellulose which are hard for us to digest. Yet this doesn't mean we should never consume them. I believe when you are healthy they are valuable in small quantities on our diet. Prepared in proper ways like cooked, steamed, fermented, pickled and more. Rather not to be consumed raw.
They are helpful to cleanse our bodies when in need. They are helpful when animal proteins are scares.
I really see them as nature's candy now. There were times when I was vegan that they would be the main bulk of my diet. Thinking they were the healthiest thing to eat. However I suffered the consequences afterwards. They should not be consumed in large quantities.
They help for hydration, they taste good and are pleasurable to eat. They can serve as cleansers for the body as well. But not for building, not for long term health and happiness. See them as snacks or dessert.

Grains, seeds, nuts. I don't see them as necessary foods in a humans diet. There are ways to properly prepare them to make them safe for consumption. If not prepared properly they are filled with anti-nutrients and are hard on the body. I avoid them. I prefer root vegetables and tubers instead of them occasionally.
In overall I keep it animal based / ketogenic as I don't get dips during the day time, I feel satiated, mentally stable and my digestions works better.
Going from vegan, to animal products, to suffering from an upset gut with parasites I came to new conclusions. Going through these experiences make me wiser and I learn a lot more about myself and everything around me. I will soon make a video about this topic.
What do you think about this? And what are the staple foods in your diet? I'm curious!
Have a good day and take care!
