Hey Tiffany! It's hard to say without seeing it but my guess is that your whole arm probably wants to follow your shoulder and that might be why it feels like you're freestyle swimming. It could just be because it's a new movement pattern for you so it feels foreign. Try it keeping your arms down at your side and relaxed. It should hopefully start to feel less awkward with practice. Try to think of it like you're Jessica Rabbit and you are rolling your shoulders forward in a sultry manner. Hope this helps. Let me know of it does or doesn't :)

It feels awkward to do the shoulder rolls forward. I feel like it looks really strange when i watch in a mirror. What should it feel like when rolling forward? It looks like i'm swimming free style.

Really feeling the chest lifts in my upper back😂 this is going to have the side effect of toning parts of me I maybe usually try to hide
