Oh Goddess, I finally had the courage to do the dance after 2 practice sessions and it felt amazing! I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia so finding the right kind of exercise that combines dancing ( which I absolutely love) has been a challenge. Due to joint stress, I can't do the dance immediately after the tutorial so I decided to do it after my morning stretch sessions. It was perfect! I also found that tying something thick or a little weighty around my hips made it easier for me to stay in neutral and keep my pelvis weighted. Just one question: How do you stop yourself from breathing in and out with the belly pulls? I can breathe fine holding my abdominal wall in, but I always breathe in when I'm pushing it out. Any tips? Thank you so much!

Yah! Glad you are having fun ! You should feel your back engage a bit from the work, especially in the lower back, and it might feel stiff if you are not used to moving this way. Really try to stay aware of your posture so you can negate the chance of hollowing your back and putting more pressure on it. If you are feeling it mostly in your lower back then I do recommened stretching and cooling down thoroughly to help reduce the chance of it being stiffer the next day :)

This is so fun! Will you feel it in your back as you are learning these moves or should I relax them as much as I relax my glutes?

oh my gosh i don't know why but the chest shimmy is my nemesis, lol. I've been doing day one over and over to help build up muscle and memory and i keep over complicating the chest shimmy and look like a confused floppy fish, I know I'll get better tho, its just comical! Thank you for your wonderful lessons!
