2025-04-13 01:39:52 +0000 UTCOh yeah, that's true. It just often gets forgotten in Terminator conversations. But I did enjoy it when I watched it. Hard to argue with Summer Glau and Lena Headey (although I still prefer Linda Hamilton's Sarah Connor if we're comparing them).

2025-03-27 18:09:31 +0000 UTCOh, I forgot to mention - I'm really surprised you've never seen Terminator! Terminator 1 and 2 would be excellent choices for reactions, they're classic movies that everyone loves and they also do very well on Youtube. Any Terminator after 2 can be summarily ignored.

2025-03-27 02:39:56 +0000 UTCI think this is a really brilliant episode, despite the 80's family sitcom music playing out the final scene with Buffy, Willow and Xander :p It's balanced out by Cibo Matto's "Sugar Water," which I think was literally the perfect song selection for the dance scene. Like you said, you can really see the budget increase already, not to mention the better choreography and the slightly less cheesy dialogue (though there's definitely still cheese, just maybe a few Kraft singles instead of an entire block of gouda). Fun fact, Mark Metcalf, who played The Master in season 1, was unavailable to reprise the role in this episode, so The Master is actually played by David Boreanaz in this one. It's really hard to tell, at least for me. I think that's a testament to the skills of the makeup department. Apparently the Master makeup took 5 and a half hours to apply every time!
