LA Fires
Added 2025-01-13 21:27:11 +0000 UTCI just want to say thank you again to everyone who's reached out in the wake of the fires. I've been chatting with a lot of you on Discord (many who are also LA based), and I posted a note on YouTube community, but I wanted to say here that thankfully, I wasn't in an evacuation zone, and even though the winds are supposed to pick back up and things can always change, I don't think I'm in danger here. Even so, it's impossible not to feel the weight of what's been happening. I had a pretty heavy emotional moment yesterday, and realized just how overwhelming it's been to quite literally watch my city burn, and hear friend after friend tell me they've evacuated, or lost their house or apartment.
It's incredible to see the city come together, and we've all been trying to do as much as we can. I've included a few links for anyone who wants to support, but either way, it means so much just to know I've had such a wonderful community here, and that no matter what's happening in my life, this is a safe place. I appreciate you all so much! β€οΈ

The fires seem so unreal. I can't believe that they're still going on. I am relieved to hear that you are safe.

2025-01-14 16:46:17 +0000 UTCAs someone who has experienced the damage fires can do first hand, my thoughts go out to all those affected. I would also recommend having an evacuation plan in place. You would be amazed at how fast a fire can move in the right conditions.
